With the strangle light in the end coming thru the house, the look of the actual witch, the time traveling, and the whole ambiance.....could the witch actually be an alien?

Came here to see if someone else this same idea. That was my take on the ending.
Aliens. And that would explain away everything that happens in the movie.
My thoughts....
The creators didn't want the witch to have a "typical witch" look. Much in the way this movie is a collection of other horror movie tropes, they also wanted to throw in the gangly long-limbed monster. How do you get that into a Blair Witch movie? Have the legend of the witch be that she was killed with a "makeshift rack" that would have stretched her arms and legs as she died.
Most people didn't even remember the story about the rack, much less connect it to her new appearance. They just saw a generic gangly monster that looked more like an alien than a witch, and it also happened to be after that weird flash of light that looked like a UFO.
The filmmakers responded to the backlash about the witch's appearance by saying that's not actually her.
As for the weird flash of light? It was lightning. They found a tree that had been struck by lightning, and Lisa saw that tree immediately outside the house. Why would they even include the tree or talk about it being hit by lightning unless it was somehow relevant to the story?
Well, the tape that Lane found was right by the tree that got hit by lightning. It's eventually revealed that the same tape was being recorded by Lisa, and she was the woman on the tape who they mistook for the witch. There's a time-travel thing going on here.
So, when they were looking out the window and they saw the light from the UFO, they were actually seeing the tree get struck by lightning, slow motion, and backwards. Time was going backwards outside the house, after that light was shown, they were in a new time period, before Lane even found the tape.
So, it's not aliens, it's just poor filmmaking.
... The real questions are did Lane only see that one part of the tape that he uploaded to YouTube? Did he not notice that the rest of the tape included him and his girlfriend getting killed? Did the witch edit the tape before leaving it by the tree?
