What has made you retch/gag the most? Feces? Dead Cats? Mice/Roaches?

I can safely say this is the only show that ever makes me gag and can completely erase my appetite.

I watched a bunch of eps from season 2 last night and it was brutal! I thought the rotting food and dead cat houses from season 1 were bad, but this was a whole new level of disgusting. One lady, I wanna say it was Judi, had over four tons of fecal matter removed from her house.

So, what do people find most nauseating about these houses?

The episode that stands out in my mind is the one where they showed the fish barely moving in an aquarium so polluted that you could barely see the fish. The humans who lived there had the option of leaving the filthy landfill that they lived in. That poor fish was trapped and at their mercy. It didn't have the option of cleaning the fish tank itself. Beyond that, the houses full of feces, rotting food, mice, cobwebs, piles of fast food cups and boxes, and just plain filth make me want to gag.

The toilet that was filled three feet high with a turd mountain.

Couldn't eat at all after that.

That one definitely got to me ...

That episode of the toilet mountain stays with me as the most disgusting!

Can you say 'Typhoid?'

People who are on a diet should watch this show.

I'm glad she had that removed because I was picturing her eventually having to scale Mt. Everest heights to use the bathroom. Pretty soon she would have risked high altitude cerebral edema. Sherpas would have to carry her down the mountain of poop on a stretcher.

This is so wrong and yet I laughed so hard at your post...

Now I imagine the lady singing the Alpine Mountain Climber song "yodel lay hee hooooo" as she makes her ascent.

Edited to fix the missing Quote.

I'm with the others on this one. The turd mountain was amazing. I don't know how that old lady was able to still use the toilet without falling down.

Another thing on the show that really grosses me out, are the refrigerators with rotting food in them. Anytime a clean up crew gags after opening the fridge, I just about gag myself. (This is usually with broken refrigerators.)

Shanna, poop bucket lady. I don't think she can be topped!

And she was just so insane, calmly taking in the information that it was no, in fact, just a slightly musty odor in her house, but a full on this-place-reeks-of-poop smell all the way out to the street.

When she wanted to eat the packaged salad and explained that is was like a junkie wanting one last high before going to rehab, I almost lost it.

reply

She wanted to eat it even saying that she's been eating feces for years. That's when the crew decided she couldn't live on her own.
GROSS

reply

Any kind of poop, human or cat/dog makes me want to puke when it's 3 feet deep in their house. They must have absolutely NO sense of smell left after living in that environment for years.

I think I hated the house most that its owner had let be overrun with pet rats; the rats had infested and destroyed the entire house.

reply

The ones with the dead cats/dogs get me. The cats are usually crushed which means they died alone and no dignity what so ever. Those really bother me. The episode with Staci pissed me off. I still can't believe they let her keep NINE DOGS!
"Turd Moment" cracked me up. That lady was just...really off.

i've seen a lot of schtuff on this show thats just Nasty, but the thing that disgusted me the most...i cant remember her name, but she basically told her 3 children, WHO WERE CLEANING UP HER FILTH...that they werent worth a damn. if y'all thought Debra was bad, i wanted to reach thru the tv and bitch slap that woman.

clear your minds. it knows what scares you. it has from the very beginning.

reply

I do not know how that woman lived in the trailer with all those chickens. I can't remember her name but that was beyond disgusting. Then her daughter goes outside and vomits which was pretty disgusting, too.

I don't know how she ate that old, hoarded food without getting sick.

There was a recent episode where a woman peed and *beep* in bottles. And there were literally hundreds - maybe even thousands - of those bottles everywhere. And she would go in a bucket. When Matt took a look inside, he said that was the worst house he had ever seen and he's been with the show for years!

But what was really disgusting was that the woman asked the psychologist (the blonde haired one; I forgot her name) and Matt if she could eat her *beep* for one last "high." That was the most disturbing thing I've ever heard.

reply

It wasn't just her poo in the bottles, but her mom's as well. And her mom had been dead a few years. That woman was cray-cray.

"Flash where have you been?"
"Where haven't I been! Wooof!!"

reply

Not only did that women have pee & poo bottles but Matt said used tampons laying around. I mean I know most of these people are mentally unstable but that, I think was one of the worst cases they had shown. How do you just leave something like that just laying around...of course when you're sticking your hands in poo buckets is obvious you lost it a long time ago.

I think one of the worst ones I remember of course is Mt. Poo. The fact that you had to be using a stool to use that toilet says something about you. And why not just go outside. All these people that don't have working toilet keep using these toilets?!? At least go outside, or public places. None of these people are hurting for food so when you're shopping for you food/stuff use the restrooms there.

Definitely the poop savers. The dead or sick animals make me very sad, but the poop saving makes me gag.

My first time on this board....hi! I just started watching this show. The TV was on one of the channels the show is on when I turned on TV. On DirecTV one of the channels that shows Hoarders also show Frasier. I said "what the heck is this" when picture came on. Been watching since. I agree with you. The feces (human and animal) are the worst. On two occasions was eating at same time show was on. Needless to say, that ended mealtime right that second.

reply

Oh god, delia...NEVER eat during one of these shows!!

reply

I dont record the show..because..it motivates me to get up during commercials and do extra cleaning
