The Food Poisoning Scene

Did they not try on the dresses and then all get violently ill right after eating the lunch that supposedly got them all sick? Because of the nature of food poisoning, especially food poisoning which causes diarrhea (Which their illness obviously did), it usually has an onset time of over 12 hours. There just isn't enough time for the bacteria to get where it needs to go in the digestive system, and then to multiply to a point where it can have an effect on the body. They all got violently ill like an hour or two after lunch. In real life, that just doesn't happen.

It's a comedy! Do you go to every comedy movie site and point out the parts that are unrealistic? Tropic Thunder- his agent couldn't have gotten to Vietnam in such a short period of time. Heroin doesn't knock you out that fast. Really, it's a comedy.

I'm very late to the party with my comment but just watched this movie again after several years.

About the food poisoning scene....... the best part of that scene was Kristen Wiig progressively getting more sick every time the camera came back to her. Her comedic gift was on full display. Her facial expressions as she was getting more soaked with perspiration with each passing shot was absolutely hilarious. I think that was Kristen's best bit in this movie.
