The Food Poisoning Scene

Did they not try on the dresses and then all get violently ill right after eating the lunch that supposedly got them all sick? Because of the nature of food poisoning, especially food poisoning which causes diarrhea (Which their illness obviously did), it usually has an onset time of over 12 hours. There just isn't enough time for the bacteria to get where it needs to go in the digestive system, and then to multiply to a point where it can have an effect on the body. They all got violently ill like an hour or two after lunch. In real life, that just doesn't happen.

Onset is at least two hours. I know that from experience...twice.

Hey OP go have a big glass of rotten milk and let us all know how long it takes for you to get sick

I think I'm one of the few that HATED the food poisoning scene in the movie. Going in a sink then in a dress on the side of a road? Ewww!! I usually f-fwd when that scene hits. I like the beginning of the scene at the bridal shop before it really hits.

Is it okay if I do it for mom and not you? 'Cause I really like mom.

After reading a few posts on this subject one can get ill from food poisoning within an hour.

I thought that the food poisoning scene was hilarious!!! When I first saw this at the theater I laughed so hard I had stopped breathing!!! the entire theater was screaming in laughter!!! Why?? Because everyone could relate to having had food poisoning so bad that you sit on a toilet while diarrhea comes out like LAVA!!! LOL!!!

The airplane scene was too funny also....however, I don't think I would be laughing if someone acted out on a flight that i was on!!!

Well, worse than the food poisoning what condition were those dresses in after they pooped into them?

Take a chill pill! It's a comedy, and one of the funniest scenes of the film.

For such a ridiculous movie this thread is so serious and depressing.

Helen said that she didn't think the diarrhoea and sickness was caused by the Brazilian restaurant in the car with Annie. I can see why she told them that if food poisoning usually takes place at least 12 hours after something dodgy Is eaten. I really thought that the onset of food poisoning was quicker than that. I have never had food poisoning before, so I can see both sides. What does everyone else think? X

She only told her she thought it wasn't food poisoning because she was trying to "make nice" in the situation. Try to get her to like her.
