Rumoured plot details and Mads Mikkelsen's role

Rumors are now pointing to the film taking place during NASA's space race in the 1960s

Additionally, Mads Mikkelsen is rumored to be a Nazi scientist recruited by NASA to help them get on the moon. While that character description alone would have you think he’s the film’s primary antagonist, the site says that the film is casting for a “an evil and brutal” female antagonist that might work with Mikkelsen’s character. Scarlett Johansson is said to have passed on the role.

More potential details were revealed about Shaunette Renee Wilson’s character too. She’s expected to play a CIA Agent “babysitting” Mikkelsen’s character while he works for NASA.

i guess a glorified henchwoman role wasnt big enough for scarjo as shes been a lead actress for a good few years now

Isnt there also a black actress that was hired recently? People thought they were going to talk about racial problems in the 60s in this movie

IMDb lists the filming locations as Utah; Scotland; Ireland; and Morocco. Scotland may be accurate since Harrison Ford flew over there recently. There's also a report about Indiana Jones 5 filming in Sicily.

Shouldn't they be focusing on ancient artifacts and supernatural stuff attached to those? Why the hell are they going to the moon? Didn't they already do that with one of those Transformers movies?

If the series has already featured supernatural stuff and aliens... they could work something like that into the Space Race.

Have the astronauts have a secret side mission of either going to search for some secret agent artifact on the moon or return a stolen artifact to return it to its owners before they destroy the Earth, that sort of thing. Why not.

I guess they may as well go to the moon after Crystal Skull brought aliens into it.

Indiana Jones died in 1989 for me. I didn't agree with another sequel being made after that point but they made one and it was passable, despite some ludicrous scenes. This one sounds even more ridiculous. You can tell by the rumoured plot how desperate they are to try and keep this franchise going with something different. Indiana Jones and the Lost Plot may as well be the next instalment.

Call it Kathleen Kennedy's last gasp at trying to make her mark on the world, ugly as it is. I sure as hell am not gonna watch this crap show of a film. I only ever watch "Raiders" and "Crusade." Those are Indiana Jones for me. I can tolerate "Crystal Skull," but only if I need a film to laugh at while eating popcorn with friends.
