So, anyone here changed their minds about this film since its release?
Specially after its sequel.
shareSpecially after its sequel.
shareGood question.
Right now, people are all gushing over el idioto criminalo president Bush, because they loath Biden/Trump so much.
It's all relative, huh? But perhaps not for everyone. I still think this film was utter crap with amazing SFX - lol Kinda like the sequels that followed.
i liked this one from the beginning....... especially due to the surgery scene, that was great. both video and audio is good in that scene.
That scene also inspired the auto doc scene in "passengers" from 2016, at least that is what i believe

PROMETHEUS "Birth Scene" (2012)
Much like with the prequels and T3, I walked out of the theater and told myself I liked it.
I did not like it when I've seen snippets of it on TV over the years. I like many of the ideas - God/gods really being aliens, the hinting at Christ being the reason they wanted to wipe us out, and David is a fascinating character - but it's poorly acted and not very exciting or scary. I prefer Covenant much more.
I think so .... it's worse every time I happen to catch any part of it.
I think I feel that way because I think about how good a film it could have been and the tragedy grows every time I think of it.
Not at all. I thought it was very flawed and agreed with many of the criticisms of it. I was disappointed about some of the direction they went with some things but still enjoyed it.
7/10 then, and I haven't changed that.
I still love this movie. Having said that, I've never seen the alien movies nor the sequel to this.
shareWhen I first saw it back in 2012 I thought it was pretty good, I only rewatched it for the first time about 6 months back. It's a lot better than I remember it. Fantastic film.
I've genuinely never understood the extreme hate some have for it. The way some people talk about it you'd swear it ruined their lives.
It reminds me of those Star Wars fanatics who hate The Last Jedi with all their being for some perceived slight or something... I'm not big on SW and going through the 'sequel trilogy' as it's called, that one didn't stand out in any way to me. No better or worse than the ones either side of it. I feel out of the loop on some of these things.
It still sucks.
