Tired of comic book movies

Is anyone else just getting tired of the over excessive production of every superhero ever? I enjoyed comic book adaptions so much more when the films came out more sporadically. Like The Dark Knight, that was amazing. Or Spider Man, another great example of being completely surprised and astonished by a comic book film. But now every year we get about three to six comic book films and it's just getting to be too much. I know the answer is to stop watching the films but I am a film buff and watch every film or at least try to. I just wanted to see how you all felt.

It will die just like any other trend, it's just a matter of time

If you don't like them, don't watch them. Don't urinate in the public pool of comic book movie fandom.

I wouldn't say I am tired of them, I would like more quality ones. People tend to vote with their wallets and they vote in favour of lacklustre adaptations and remakes. Let us take 2016 thus far and take a look at the subgenre, this year was filled with okay adaptations and the clear leader would be deadpool (although fanboys would fight and say that civil war was), deadpool at least made me laugh. I am a batman fanboy predating the Nolan films (I loved them, i was excited when they got released.) and Batman v Superman was a disapointment in all aspects except the cast itself, I got the feeling that there was too much meddling. the same with Suicide Squad, the first trailer was dark and exciting, the last trailer tried to lighten the mood to such an extent that it felt like a preview for a looney toon, even though Ayer might not want to admit it, the film was altered because one of the complaints was that bvs was too dark. Civil war was boring, it felt outdated aa did x-men apocalypse. Hopefully Dr. strange outshines the rest.

Yeah sure, everyone is always tired of CBMs, until another one gets good reviews. Hush.

Very well said.

Yes, I am so very tired of all the comic book movies. It is overkill, but honestly how many Spiderman movies do we need?!?!?!?!?!!? How many are we up to 8? Just reinforces my point that people are getting tired of Comic book movies.

Like the OP I enjoyed many of them when they first started making them but now it's just boring. I have no desire at all to see Suicide Squad after what I have seen in the previews.

Nope. I grew up on comics. I'm getting to see *beep* I never dreamed I would ever see in film. And the source material is actually treated with respect, unlike how it was in the 70's-mid 2000's.

There's probably like 40+ comedies made every year. Are you sick of comedies? Comic films are a genre. I don't see how it would be different if 10-20 CBM's were made. But just like any genre, there are good and bad films. If you aren't in to it then I have a simple solution for you... Don't watch it.
