Tired of comic book movies

Is anyone else just getting tired of the over excessive production of every superhero ever? I enjoyed comic book adaptions so much more when the films came out more sporadically. Like The Dark Knight, that was amazing. Or Spider Man, another great example of being completely surprised and astonished by a comic book film. But now every year we get about three to six comic book films and it's just getting to be too much. I know the answer is to stop watching the films but I am a film buff and watch every film or at least try to. I just wanted to see how you all felt.

Well yeah there's too much coming out these days...loved Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Spiderman 1 and 2, but now it seems the quality dropped. Its not as spectacular as it once was. Its basically rinse / repeat now.

Deadpool isa game changer though, it was different andfresh! Probably due to the R rating mostly, it gives the creators more leverage and more freedom.

I'm getting tired of them too, yes. Comic book adaptations come out too frequently for them to be unique cinematic events anymore. They're not usually awful films and I did initially admire the idea of creating a cinematic universe where each movie fits into a specific place on its timeline, but the films are rarely distinctive enough to differentiate them in the long-run from each other. I think few of these types of films are going to stand well against the test of time: many of them have become quite predictable and not enough of the films have enough unique characters to carry the narrative.

As a 50 y.o. Marvel fan since the 70s, I thought the 70s live action comic book TV shows weren't good then and very few comic book movies of today are any good (1 - Watchmen, 2 - The Crow, 3 - V for Vendetta, 4 - 300, 5 - The Dark Knight, 6 - Spiderman 2). But, there's certainly a market for them or else they'd stop making them.

They're going to keep spawning them as long as there are nerdy fanboys who are willing to give money to see them. Comic books movies now have all the same formula, you've seen one you've seen them all. It's just hilarious how these fanboys get so excited whenever new flick gets released when all these movies are just copy-paste.
