Tired of comic book movies

Is anyone else just getting tired of the over excessive production of every superhero ever? I enjoyed comic book adaptions so much more when the films came out more sporadically. Like The Dark Knight, that was amazing. Or Spider Man, another great example of being completely surprised and astonished by a comic book film. But now every year we get about three to six comic book films and it's just getting to be too much. I know the answer is to stop watching the films but I am a film buff and watch every film or at least try to. I just wanted to see how you all felt.

Why did you click on the post and take your time to reply if you are so tired of this topic? You should really use your time more effectively to your best advantage. For example, create a post that is titled, "They should make more comic book movies, there aren't enough".

I agree. I enjoy Blade 1 and 2, TDK, Dredd and few more but it looks like today the most of the comic book movies they follow the same formula and i am a little bit of sick this combination of tragedy/comedy/mindless action/romance/one-liners.
In all honestly at least for me they have started to feel like Syfy movies with know characters and better budget.

Yes and I think the trend will burn out in a few years.
I'm not saying all Comicbook movies will stop but every popular trend does hit a brick wall at a certain point.

I'm not tired at all. But if you're, there are many different kinds of movies to see apart from cbm.

I miss the old days when we got to see Arnie and Sly kicking asses as our favorite action heroes, now we have.. superheroes. Love watching those movies, but I am sick of them already.

Oscar Season is the Best time of the year.

The summer blockbuster season this year has been very lacklustre. The best of the bunch this year has been Ghostbusters and it's not even close

I completely agree, i think it's fun to watch one or two comic book movie in a year but more than that is just too much. the budget can be use better.

Batman v Superman Budget + Civil War Budget + Deadpool Budget + X-Men: Apocalypse Budget + Suicide Squad Budget = 911 million
instead of this 5 film we could have 91 indie movie or twice the number!

The Lobster film Budget is 4.5 million Dollar!
Brooklyn budget is 11 million!
Rust and Bone budget is 20 million!

911 million is too much and it could be used better.

Agreed. And the thing I hate most is that they actually replace other types of films.

Now we only get like 2 maybe 3 good scifi and epic adventures a year, like Interstellar, The Martian or The Revenant. And those make less money than each superhero film that we get flooded with.

I guess dumb shallow humans are in the majority and so dumb shallow films are being made for them.
