They're desperately trying to save this show by bringing in big characters

You can tell they know the show is terrible with just Boba, thats why they're obviously bringing out every big character from the franchise in the final episodes and Boba is nowhere to be seen.

Cause honestly Luke and Ashoka have no business being in the Boba Fett show, feels so forced.

reply

Boba Fett hasn't been in any episode yet, just BUMBLING Fett.

Bubba Fatt

The whole show is just a sketch board and test screening. They're just messing around with ideas to see what works or not moving forward.

reply

they can go ahead and file this under "doesn't work"

Read an article all about how they did Luke and that's not Mark Hamill's voice. They have tons of old recordings of him, including a book on tape, and they fed all that into a computer and it's literally just a program spitting out Mark Hamill's young voice. That's why he sounds so weird. But this is the sort of experimental stuff they went to hone in a throw away side series before launching a Luke show in the future. We are truly finally on the cusp of not needing actors anymore, and it's starting with Star Wars.

which was one of Lucas' dream goals, ironic isn't it?

"Feels so... forced."
Sorry. Had to. 😇👋

They're doing what they did in the Mandalorian Season 2 finale. Take away from the title character to focus on force sensitive characters.

This Mandoverse is such a mess.

reply

The difference is Mando has proven himself with the fans, Boba hasn’t, at least not in this show. Luke showing up in the Mandalorian season 2 finale didn’t take away from Mando nearly as much as Luke, Ahsoka, Grogu, and Mando upstaging Boba, who’s been lame for 4 episodes and absent for 2 more.

reply

I'd quit the show, and tuned in to see Luke and Mando, and threw stuff at the screen when they had Luke act like a complete idiot and pressure a toddler to decide his own future, without understanding what he's deciding. Arrgh!

So I suppose I'll have to tune in again to see what happens with Mando and Grogu, which is cheating! I don't give a rat's ass if Boba becomes daimio of Tattooine, or some other asshole does. If anyone wanted to help the people of Tattooine they'd just stop with the fighting, not start a damn war.

reply

Yeah, when Luke decided to be a dick I hoped that Mando would show up and lop off his head with the darksaber. Was bad enough they brought in a bad CGI Luke but the also made him an asshat as well.

reply

And they're throwing in HUGE plot advancements on a show other than Mando's, offloading the Darksaber and probably re-uniting him with Grogu, on someone else's show! That's cheating, AND it's making me watch a pointless war on Tattooine!

If Luke had any sense, and well, Leia got 99% of the brains in that gene pool, he'd just give Grogu the chain mail to keep him safe, and tell him he'd explain when someone dies of old age. Maybe he'll be old enough to understand the story by then.

you do realise this show was written before it was shot? so how the fudge would they know the show is terrible?

reply

Rise of Skywalker was reportedly being reshot all the way up to release. We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, but it’s not unheard of for writers to be disappointed in the final product due studio interference or some other reason, and if it’s too late to change previous episodes, they’ll go all out with the last episodes to save face.

reply

That used to happen in the TV series in the old days when a season was more than 20 episodes long and the shooting of the episodes would be going on while the first ones were being shown on TV. It isn't something that happens when you have a season of 8 or 10 episodes in a season and this one only has 7. So the odds of them reshooting on the run is pretty much zero.

reply

if you listen to doomcock but more fool you if you did , there were 3 scenes added from reshoots, most included more dialogue.

reply

shows are written and rewritten during filming all the time

reply

This show wrapped production last June.

reply

so? they could see while they were filming that it was a steaming pile of shit

reply

Or this is exactly what they planned all along...
