Yes, there are Negative Ninnies, like Crritical Drinker and his horde. Ignore them. ahsoka is a solid series! There are some derivative moments (yes another map search to find a secret leader) but it’s done leagues better than the awful Force Awakens.

I love the Dark master and his apprentice! I was sort of rooting against Sabine, who is a little annoying in the mode of recent Disney heroines, but she gets her comeuppance right in episode one (yes!!). I hope she develops well, and no I know nothing about the cartoon series.

I have watched 4 episodes. The show is dark, moody like Game of Thrones and the good guys do not always win just because they are the good guys (or gals).

I think the show is right up there with Rogue One and the best elements of early Mando. I haven’t finished Andor, but I think these represent the best of Dinsy Star Wars. Ignore the other films, forget Boba, and I had to stop Kenobi b/c I could NOT stand some of the characters.

There’s still life in Disney Star Wars…

I've only watched the first episode but the re-characterisation of Sabine was awful.

It's hard to believe this was from the same guy who was behind Rebels.

After the episode, I re-watched the end of Rebels (literally just the last scene) to see if I had been remembering the character wrongly. But no, that was enough to see she'd effectively been lobotomized and turned into the impudent brat Princess character they obviously felt this series needed.

There's also the trainee Jedi thing - again this makes absolutely no sense to anyone who watched Rebels. Plus in that last scene, we see her heading off with Ahsoka to search for Ezra! So what happened - They decided to give up on that and commence master / apprentice training instead?!

Yeah, it's supposed to be a continuation.

It was nice to see the characters and Lothal (the primary setting) from Rebels but there are a few odd things. e.g. Sabine, the mural showing the actual cartoon characters was weird, a retcon of Erza leaving Sabine a message, which was stupid given how he and Thrawn disappeared.

In terms of continuation though, this return of Thrawn and presumably Ezra is the main thing.

Can you explain to me how a "map" that's been hidden for thousands of years can show the path to people that vanished few years ago?

Those vanished people used a second map that has NOT been hidden for thousands of years. It's not rocket science...

It's okaaay... Andor is far better (as is Rogue One) imho. The jedi stuff I can do without.

I agree. I’ve watched four episodes of Andor so far, and it’s not just great Star Wars, it’s great, period. Fantastic political intrigue, thriller, espionage, action, etc. and the characters are very compelling. The best of the SW shows by far.

Kind of amazed you thought that after the first few episodes.

It took us three attempts to get through Andor. After trudging through maybe episodes 5-8 (or thereabouts), it did pick up and finished pretty well.

So if you're already liking the stuff at the start, you'll probably be amazed by it come the end...

Very good Star Wars is the OT, Revenge of the sith, Rogue One, Mando season 1 and 2, Andor , Ashoka ...i want to include TFA but TLJ and TROS kind of killed that.
