I just watched the trailer and it is jarringly full of females. Females in almost every major role like they were sitting there like "How can we possibly fit more females in this? The force is female lol rofl"

So jarring in fact that I had to come here immediately to make a post about how jarring it is.

Please convince me that this is not a telltale sign of this being another Disney pile of shit.

No, they completely ran out of available females. Most anything made now is going to have to check the boxes. The characters can be whatever gender, race, whatever they need to be, I just want them to be interesting. Here, they just seem alternately bored or smug.
