The beginning was kinda awful, but as the movie went on, it got better. I think it's really good and underrated.

reply

Haven't seen it, probably will never see it. Mostly because I saw it on Broadway in 2009 shortly after it opened with the fabulous Constantine Maroulis and the OBC and I cannot stand Tom Cruise.

reply

Definitely love, no question! 8-D That was one fun movie-musical.
I also enjoyed that my dad walked in on me watching it RIGHT at the Russell/Alec smooch. He was just like, "WUT."

reply

Loved it. While not your standard movie, the music was amazing and kept me hooked through the entire movie.

Didn't like this movie.

Hated it, worst part was I watched the movie a few days after seeing the musical. The Musical was over the top and a good sense of humor. They played the movie version too straight and with bad casting, especially Alec Baldwin. The 2 leads were bland as white bread, people were probably disappointed that Cruise wasn't the main star of the movie too.

reply

Actually, this may be the only movie I've ever given a 5 on IMDB. I neither love nor hate it.

i love it. Its pure fun escapism :)

LOVED IT

One of Cruise's best performances

reply

I'm no fan of TC, but he was my favorite character in this. I thought that he did really well.

reply

Cruise did give a good performance, but he had a frat boy image when that music was big and that ruined it for me.

reply

I loved it
