SO, who else actually loved this?
Anyone at all? Don't tell me this is another one where I'm the only one who likes it.

shareI saw it today and I loved it. I thought it was beautifully done. It looked really good; like they actually not only spent time but cared. I mean the CGI looked good.
It isn't perfect (but then no film is) but it is far from the pits. REAL far.
wow-um, you have seen CGI since Jurassic Park, right? The CGI monster in the beginning looked good to you?
shareI blindly picked this movie up not really seeing any reviews or negative-nancy's trying to drag it down before first viewing. I just watched it and really enjoyed it. I liked the story. I've never read or heard of the 47 Ronin story, so I have no reference to it's origins. The scene with Kai and Oishi being tested by the Swordmaster was beautifully executed. I really can't believe how many postings there are for how bad it is or calling it an abomination. It was visually pleasant, good dialogue, and interesting story. I'm glad I bought it (now I wish I would of picked up the BluRay instead of DVD) and will watch it again.
shareits a 7/10 from me which means i liked it a lot but didnt LOVE it
shareIt was ok I found it entertaining the action was pretty cool
7/10
i am fire i am death
Not only did I like this, I actually thought Keanu Reeves was quite good. He gets a lot of Hatorade poured on him because he is Keanu, but he added a quiet dignity to his role and mostly stepped aside and let the japanese actors do the heavy lifting when it was required.
shareyeah it seems like a lot of people hated it just for Keanu and "white guys in samurai films". I thought it was great for what it was, wish it was a little bit longer so that we could build more of a relationship with the characters.
shareI really enjoyed this flick. I was shocked that it was so much better than I had expected...which probably made me like it more. Extremely underrated if you ask me.
shareLoved it, no, liked it, yes. It was decent enough for how it was presented. Really don't understand the over-the-top hate it received.
shareeasy-200 million movie that was just a rehash of numerous other films with bad CGI must be great or it will be attacked. This one was just so below average...no emotion at all! Even the dark ending was met with a collective meh...
