Arnie’s arms….

….now look like those of an average man in decent shape.

Had the best physique in the world at one point.

F—k aging. It sucks.

reply

It's better than to die young!

reply

Well, he is 75 years old.

reply

He looks to be in excellent shape.

reply

I remember a few years ago some idiot magazine had a best and worst beach bodies cover. Arnold was on it, as a worst. The chicks on it as examples of best, were young enough to be his grand daughters.

LOL!!!

reply

He can still get whoever he wants more easily than most, so he wins

reply

Yep, it's his arms where you notice it most. He's still got a great barrel chest.

It happened to Sly as well…..and Dolph…and even Hulkster. I guess once a man hits 50 and their testosterone is down to almost nothing, the bulk in their arms leaves pretty quickly.

Now, guys like Sly have gone from big guns and bulk, to more of a wirey, veiny trimness…like Tim McGraw.

Sly held out the longest, but you could tell he was on some major HGH. Back when he did the last Rocky film and the last Rambo, he had a HUGE block head that looked so square from the side it practically had corners! He looked like a caveman.

I suppose Lou is holding on pretty well. Certainly better than Arnie. What Arnie does have going for him…is screen presence.

reply

How much of your time would you say you spend analysing men's muscles?

reply

NOT ENOUGH.😛

reply

Body building is highly respectable passion. We are the meat we are born into, but we can be so much more.

reply

If I remember the fitness mag I read correctly, I believe when you get older, your body stops processing protein properly. So you basically can't get the fuel to your muscles anymore, regardless of what supplements and roids you might be taking. *quick google search* anabolic resistance? that must have been it.

reply

It's the shriveled skin that's most distracting. Like a once obese person that lost all the weight. The evidence of how jacked he used to be is staring you straight in the face. These muscles were once so big, this ball sack of an arm was once a taunt balloon.

reply

How much ya bench? I only peaked out at 225. My Pythons never got that big. I curled and curled but I just couldn't cultivate that mass. I never ate right and I drank too much, but I took a pretty solid stab at lifting weights for a while. My buddy who was doing it with me was roiding up and that asshole looked like Hugh Jackman. I injected his ass a few times from a bottle with a bull on it. lmao He also went totally skitzo and beat the tar out of his girlfriend. Beat me up once too. Fun guy. Not in jail yet. He just keeps falling up the ladder.

reply

Yep, it seems like no matter how hard you work on arms….after a certain age, you simply plateau…..and the best you can hope for is to maintain some semblance of tone.

reply

I'm 46, I take a full range of vitamins now, but I still don't dabble in the HGH end of things. I can't regain the mass or the endurance I used to have. And my penis strength is also greatly diminished. I'm a heavy metal drummer and I used to lay down the double bass whoop ass for hours. I'm tapped out after 40 minutes now.

reply

I wonder if he does aging cream will it look youthful? I mean hell, look at J-LO, seemed like she never aged. You just need to apply those beauty creams on your body be it biceps and such and maybe it can be achieved?

reply

How much ya bench?

Usually, zero.

It depends on a few factors. Genes are a factor. I follow my mother's side of the family. Bulky heavy muscle. It's easy to build muscle and its hard to lose weight. My brother follows my father's side. Lean flexible muscle. He's strong but not very big.

Next is training.
Then it's fueling.
Rest plans
And any additions like supplements or PEDs.

Currently, I do Calisthenics and long distance running in the morning. I do weights in the evening. I use my bike for groceries and localized trips (within 15 miles).

reply

Weights in the evening. Interesting. I can only ever work out in the morning. I have progressive back pain throughout the day. I can barely move by nightfall. My family is a bunch fatties. Big boys and girls. No matter what I eat, no matter how hard I work, I always float right at the same weight, ever since senior year of high school. 225. Never bigger, never smaller. I read Arnie's body building book back in day. It really inspired me. I just couldn't graduate into the big league there, no matter how much I pushed at it. It amused me that I could bench what I weighed. But that's as far as I ever got.

reply

I turn 50 years old this month. I started working out in earnest when the COVID pandemic hit and I'm now consistently hitting 4-6 reps for three sets at 225lbs on the bench press.

I could never get above 165 for most of my adult life, no matter how much I trained. I guess I finally it puberty.

reply

Fuck yeah. Keep it up!
