So what's your point the movie sucked? I actually tried rewatching GB 2016 a few weeks ago and I was just bored to tears.

reply

Paul Feig made a bad movie with good comedians.

That's not uncommon.

Calling your critics sexist or Trump supporters doesn't mean we'll just like your movie. It was unmemorable without the backlash. Seriously, no one would remember this movie if people didn't react to how bad it, it's trailer, and the studio reaction to the reaction was.

reply

I think it's pretty accurate to call them sexist since so much of the criticism took place before the film came out.

reply

It was Ghostbusters fans who bashed it. They mostly saw the movie when they were kids and realized a treasured memory was being hijacked with an agenda. The Chris Hemsworth character was pathetic.

reply

What was the agenda?

reply

Oh, yes please, play stupid... 🙄

reply

I want you to explain it. Duh.

reply

I am not good in explaining things on sesame street level the way you lefties need it... 🤔

reply

Aw go on , we love a good game of buzzword bingo
I'll pick
-woke
-box ticking
-forced agenda
-rammed down our throats
-evil white man

reply

Wait, you don't like "the significance of the passage of time" or "holistically"? I am worried now... 🤔

reply

Or because you know how stupid you would sound if you explained the 'agenda', you believe is happening.

reply

Zuckerberg already confessed that he was forced by the Biden/Harris administration to ignore the 1st amendment, genius. So who the f is going to vote for someone who violated the constitution?

reply

Presumably that reply was intended for a totally different conversation and you posted it here by accident?
or is it some sort of diversion tactic?

reply

It is part of the agenda, isn't it?

reply

Well , now you're really gonna have to elaborate on what "The Agenda" is .

Cant quite pin down which maga victim complex you're focusing on.
Your right to smear electoral candidates with a misinformation campaign
or your dream utopia of keeping women and black people off the TV screen

reply

My dream utopia? An educated society where everybody notices easily that everything coming from the left is nothing but just some hot air...
The racism you want to accuse me of is pure projection.

reply

Total Feig just needs to take the L and get on with his life.

reply

All Fieg had to do was make a sequel to GB1/2, he even had the OG cast on board, could've just had the same new cast make up the GB team Wiig, McCarthy, McKinnon, Hemsworth, with Ackroyd & Hudson (& Murray in a cameo) in their OG roles, and kept the GB logo villain.

The vague timetravel type ending couldve even been used to revisit the '84 GB or earlier SNL era Murray/Ackroyd etc

Might've been better than Afterlife and made more box office (like 300-400m ww instead of the 200m that the remake and Afterlife made)

reply

The only thing I hate more than Trump is this shitfest sorry excuse for a movie.

reply

Does he not realise that the 96% of the world population that loves outside the USA doesn’t particularly care about American politics 🤷‍♂️

It was a bad film, end of.

reply

I don't like Trump that much but also don't want socialist Kamala Harris in charge of things. There isn't much of a choice. But I refused to see this movie not because there was women in it, but because they acted too stereotypically in the trailer. I don't even want to see it. Now I did enjoy the newest sequels to the original which have female protagonists. So there's that.
