I remember this getting good reviews and a ton of hype back when it came out in 2013, but me and all my friends went to go see it in theaters and none of us liked it. Did anyone else think it was seriously overhyped?
shareI just watched the original and the remake back to back. The original is so much better and has better scares, suspense and thrills. The remake is well directed but I just don't find it anywhere near as tense or atmospheric as the original which is a shame because Fede Alvarez went on to direct Don't Breathe a few years after this and that was fantastic.
shareI totally agree on both counts. The original Evil Dead is much better than the remake, much scarier, and Don't Breathe is a great movie!
