We want the Hercules from the myths... Not this rip off

So we went to see the new Hercules movie yesterday... Took my dad since the Steve Reeves classic was one of his favorites from his childhood... Hoped that modern Hollywood would give us something impressive with all their special effects and all... The preview clearly indicated that Hercules' labors are going to be shown... which is essentially what every person who read the myths was anxious to see... SPOILERS AHEAD... We came into the theater with great expectations to see something amazing... What we got was a rip off fantasy movie with those things from the previews happening in the span of 10 seconds in flashbacks... then we got a plot that is loosely based (and I am being kind here) on the Greek legends... otherwise totally fabricated... Hell, Arnold's Conan was more convincing! Steve Reeves classic Hercules, though, lacked special effects at least had some solid story line...

I address the Hollywood here... Give us a Hercules movie that actually shows the hero as he is portrayed in the Myths... we want to see the 12 labors... one by one... we want to see a detailed battle with the lion, hydra, boar... Cerberus, etc. and the moment Hercules replaced Atlas for a little while... WE WANT THAT!!! While you are at it... Hollywood, please decide the fate of the Dark Tower movie, series, whatever... tired of waiting!!!!!!!!!!
They never found the second dose!

Who's we? You don't speak for all of us dude. And I enjoyed this movie very much.

Stand up for what is right, even if you are standing alone.

Am i the only one that didn't care about those "labors" , i mean for me Hercules is the character Kevin Sorbo portrayed in the TV series, so yeah was i a bit disapointed Iolaus was a whimp and not his trusty sidekick? Yeah but well... the rest was great, it felt like a modern day version of the TV show with better special effects. Loved it honestly... Want creatures and gods, go wash Clash of the Titans....

Alice is the worst character of all time, she need to die in the last movie. Chris/Jill are RE !!!

this was such a huge waste of money, of man power, of acting talent,
A waste of budget, huge waste of using the character of Hercules, waste of sets. waste all around

Well technically the Hercules from myth could be a 'ripoff' of a real life person whose life was the basis for the legends.

Until the end I realized it was based on a graphic novel. I just saw this yesterday so its fresh in my mind. I liked DJ and the rest of the cast. The movie bored me from time to time, saw this with my mom, she liked the few action scenes and The Rock ;)

I have to say that when the narrator started talking about his missions i was super excited and liked what i was seeing, then ...nothing. Hmm... i dont know how i feel about it, since i didnt know anything about the movie going into it, just thought that i was actually going to see the mythology of it all, so in part i guess that's why I'm disappointed. Is all I have to say.

I at least got through it, hoping it would become what I hoped for, but in the end ...nada.

Again, Iiked the cast. Not the movie.

Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.
