Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman because of her green skin, and Glinda, a popular girl, become friends
OH FUCK OFF ALREADY......... 🤦♂️ 🤦♀️
shareOH FUCK OFF ALREADY......... 🤦♂️ 🤦♀️
shareYep, pretty much and this is why I feel this is not going to do well at the box office and that the box office guru's are way overinflating this movies numbers for their own good, sort of like the 2024 Election
shareOne thing I really didn't like about the play is it really tries to hammer you over the head about the whole thing is a metaphor for racism.
shareeveryone know that is what they are going for, with the: a misunderstood young woman because of her skin
shareThey really are going to drive it into the ground in this adaptation. They've already tweaked the play to make it seem allude more to Trump and the GOP. I really just how revisionist the whole story is. There was no reason the author of the book needed to take a story as old as OZ and rewrite it will all this shit.
shareIn "The Wizard of Oz" (1939 movie), I thought I and other people disliked the Wicked Witch because she was wicked. I never paid much attention to the fact she had green skin, or cared. I guess I was unconsciously making the mistake of following the philosophy of MLK, but we're not supposed to think like that anymore.
shareSomebody explained the book to me for an hour but your topic heading is the entire story. I always assumed it must be amazing because of the popularity of the musical but nah.
shareThe songs are what made it popular. I’ve seen it on and off Broadway and it’s a largely forgettable story. But there are some bangers musically.
Hopefully they don’t get all soulful and note-y with them in the film.
remember, this is the same generation that made tiktoks about how osama bin laden was actually a saint. lol
sharehe did have some killer dance moves

Right? Can't wait for the toxic woke trend to die completely. Might take awhile but people are already turning away.
