How were the Special Effects?
Was it better or worse than the original? Or about the same?
It was better than I expected. The special effects were great, all the storm scenes looked and sounded great. I grew up loving the original, but I have to say that this is better. It's a really fun movie to see on the big screen. 7,5/10

I thought it was fine. It has better characters than the original, but the original is also a lot better-paced and more thrilling. The tornadoes have their own personalities in the 96 film, whereas they all kinda look and feel the same in this one. Even the flaming tornado was kinda a bummer, it just shows up for 10 seconds and then turns into a normal tornado. I really thought they'd do something cool with that idea but they don't. That's how I'd summarize the whole movie: something cool looks like it'll happen, but it just sorta disappears.
The CGI is really, really good though. Had a hard time telling when it was CGI sometimes. But I give the movie a 5/10
7-8 / 10. The tornadoes looked good enough
