My wife and I watched this last night after thinking the previews for it were half way decent looking. Sadly, we both agreed that it was pretty lame and thought it was one of the "stupid" comedies. I felt that it was nothing like Superbad or Pineapple Express, unless my sense of humor has drastically changed over the years.
I watched The Worlds End a day earlier and I thought it was infinitely more entertaining.

I agree with the OP. My wife are pretty big fans of the sort of new-age brat pack (I even liked funny people) but this movie was obviously written with the mindset that their fans will laugh at anything they do. This one doesn't even come close to Superbad or Pineapple Express.

I wanted to like this movie. I enjoyed the Michael Cera scenes immensely BUT the incessant use of the F word was way overboard! I'm certainly not a prude but when practically every 3rd word coming out of everybody's mouth is "F this" or "F that," it gets really tedious and not very creative. (somewhere I read that they used the word over 300 times, can that be right?)
