Middle-aged feamle here...The show had great buzz so I tuned in and wasn't disappointed. Heard on "Howard Stern's News Show" that it was beating the heck out of Jay Leno's show in it's time slot and did quite well in the ratings. Didn't hear the actual rating...But the critics like it and apparently everyone thinks it has some sustainability. Let's hope so...it has intelligent writing, witty, funny, sometimes poignant...with great acting and actors who are perfect in their roles.
BTW...I tuned in to see Scott B. too...he is still one handsome and hunky guy. Ray Romano is cute in his own way too!!! Great to see him again!!!

What we've got here is...failure to communicate- "Cool Hand Luke"

Female, Older than 30s, I'm not a fan of Scott Bakula or Ray Romano, so I'm somewhat shocked how much I like this show and all the characters. Even Owen's wife and the kid that works with Romano do a great job. Good casting all around.

I find myself laughing out loud at least once in each episode, and recommend it to anyone 'of a certain age'.

35...I can already relate to some of the things they're talking about (career-wise at least).

I'm surprised that there are quite a number of people in their 20's watching.

I'm 42. Married for twenty-one years and I'm a dad (two kids). It's a good show and it's accurate in many ways. I'm in a job where many of of my co-workers are under 30 and ,especially in the past year, I've begun to feel my years as I listen to them discuss their various concerns. Wow I was like them at one time. Then I blinked and I was a middle aged man.

Good show. i liked the musical reference to Billy Jack as well. Caught it right away. My kids just looked at me with a blank stare.

Isn't it amazing how fast that happens? When I was 42 (I'm 49 now) my older brother mentioned that I was "middle aged." I hadn't really thought about it. I still don't think of myself as middle aged... unless I look in the mirror. LOL

Very true. I'm still amazed to see grey hairs on my head. I just graduated from High School in 86. That was yesterday!

27.. love this how because it's so realistic. who would have thought that "mundane" would be original (or at least different from everything else on tv).

1986 HS grad here too. I love this show even if the guys on it have at least a decade on me. I can relate. Also, someone said to me just today that they were planning a 25th high school reunion next year for my class and I was in shock! That's when reality hits you that time goes bye very fast.

reply

Amen. I just heard about the same thing (25th reunion in the planning) myself. Wow.

In 36 minutes I'll be 36.

I've seen some THINGS, man. And some STUFF. I wouldn't recommend it!

29, female.

I usually go for the older, more mature type shows, but coming to realize that I'm getting up there, so that my age is catching up with my interests.

Tuned in because of Bakula (who brings in my nostalgia of Quantum Leap and who I've been attracted to) and Andre Braugher who I think is a great actor.
