Josh Peck ruins movie

This movie would have been so much better without this mumbling hack. I've seen better canine actors than this kid! He is one of the worst actors of all time. He is the definition of "wooden acting".
The only emotion he is able to display is his ill-timed smirk, which he wears throughout the movie. His dialogue is unintelligible, as he is only capable of mumbling his lines.
I can't believe they had a great actor like Josh Hutcherson in a supporting role, instead of the lead.
Chris Hemsworth is excellent as usual, and without him the movie would be
completely unwatchable.
There are plenty of talented young actors in Hollywood that could have been cast instead of this Peck kid.
This is an opportunity wasted.

Yep.

After the movie was over my girlfriend and I were like wow , kinda stuck, and we both commented on this young man, and she threw out LITTLE NICKY, and we both began to laugh for a good minute.

It had good parts, but my goodness.

I remember growing up magic in movies my imagination on fire I can still see some of that magic.

I'm on the fence with his role in this film. I liked him but I didn't like him. I want to give him a chance and tried but during this movie all I could think about was him being his former Nickelodeon self aside Drake Bell. Everytime he spoke I was expecting to hear some lame joke or pun how he used to do on the show. I

loved Drake and Josh but it's hard for me to see Josh Peck outside of anything but his Nickelodeon status.

I couldn't bare him either, as an actor or the character. Found myself wanting the Koreans to capture, torture and ultimately kill this horrible grinning kid. Hemsworth & Hutchinson save it a tiny bit, but god did I hate that twat....

Never heard of the kid, but he was as far from being the brother of Chris as he was from being the son of that police officer.

The entire movie was stupid. They did way too much to be just a rag tag group. The story could have been a series, but they crammed everything into that time frame and it didn't work at all. Horrible movie.

Don`t forget about Colin Cruise who played as Daryl in the movie.I`ve seen better trees acting than that kid.Worse than Josh Peck.

reply

I could barely understand a word he said. He was terrible. Then they had him as Hemsworth's brother which was so distracting cause they look nothing alike.

AGREED, one of the WORST actors I have ever seen in anything outside of an Ed Wood movie. He spends at least six entire minutes of the film just staring into space with his mouth open! I don't know what unspeakable acts of perversion and bribery lead to his being cast, but I condemn them!

couldn't agree more!

reply

I still and will always see Josh Peck as the little FAT kid he used to be in "Drake and Josh" and the movie, "Snow Day."

reply

bad writing contributed to the hate that Peck's characters receives. drop the love story and sibling rivalry non-sense and maybe he wouldn't come off as annoying.

Josh pecks voice annoys me. Thank god for Hemsworth and Hutcherson.

Agree with everyone else's thoughts; he single-handedly destroyed a movie that had some potential.

With mouth permanently agape and the droopy eyes, it occurred to me that the only way I could buy that his character and Hemsworth's could possibly be related was if they were half-brothers and their local mailman was Sylvester Stallone.

This was the first thing I'd ever seen him in; and that's a good thing because I now know what to avoid as a waste of time. How he has so many credits is truly a mystery.

You owe me a new keyboard because I just spit Coke all over mine when I read this!

I think Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are in the same boat as this kid. Horrible actors.
