Are there any people on this board that believe this movie is real?

I don't care if you like the movie or not. I am just curious to see if anyone actually believes this happened.

I had heard that it was fake but I had 3 different friends tell me I just HAD to see it because it was so disturbing. Each time I told them, "Isn't that fake though?" They were all shocked to hear it and I think even not believing me. But I figured, if it had those 3 all spooked, it must be pretty scary.

Holy crap what garbage. The "real" doctor was horrible. I mean, I knew it was fake going in, but I don't think I would have been fooled for a second. Plus, like others mentioned, even before I knew it was fake, I certainly suspected due to the fact that if this footage was real, we all would have seen it already.

Dudes... This is TOTALLY real and I would love to explain my points but I am too busy watching Bigfoot and El Chupacabra chasing after a Leprachaun riding a Unicorn out in my yard...

I did going in, as I knew nothing about it at all. Believed what Mila said! But as soon as the "real" doctor said her first testimonial, I said, wait a minute. This chick ain't real. So, the "archive" footage was all Hollywood, I figured that out prety quick. Was pretty disappointed! I'm totally convinced in alien abduction, but this particular movie ain't the real deal.

I don't get what happened to Abby's husband. Did the cops always know that he commited suicide? I'm very confused there.

I believe that some parts of it are in fact real. The place was fake, names were fake, but story was in fact real. I believe that thing actually happened to some person and she wanted to tell her story, but requested not to be mentioned in the movie by her real name etc.

In short, this movie was too scary to be fake. No one in Hollywood holds that much of creativity.

My wife and I didn't know anything about it going into it, I just happened to turn it on about 1/2 hour in.

We didn't know what the hell was going on, and when the split footage started happening, it rang a bell that this was "loosely" based on a real story.

Naturally, a few things didn't add up (like the "real" doctor) so I read up on it and was like "oh, that's lame." The big that that didn't add up to me was that there was a cop outside saying "something is pulling them out of the house" yet the sheriff shows up and is blaming Abbey for the girl's disappearance, when supposedly, there is real footage of a cop seeing her get pulled out.

Just didn't make sense.

No, firstly the "real" footage that they were going on about were all actors as well, so it wasn't real footage. I do believe that we cant be the only planet in the entire universe that sustains life, but i dont think that aliens come down to earth and abduct people. Plus you only ever hear about alien abductions happening in america and its never really in places like new york city, its always down south or in really remote areas where there are very few witnesses! Its just all abit too easy to say you have been abducted etc i mean who can prove you wrong! As for the missing girl unfortunately that does happen alot. people go missing all the time and alot of them are never found. So as entertaining as this film was in a laugh at it sense i dont think it has convinced me that aliens are here!
