Are there any people on this board that believe this movie is real?

I am somewhat inclined to believe the story. The world has a lot of things we don't understand or refuse to accept. It really takes first-hand knowledge or experience to fully grasp something the rest of the world doesn't. So until we can provide evidence that without a doubt it did not happen, there is always the possibility of it being true.

**If anyone wants to rebut this then please be my guest, but calling me a nutcase, moron, idiot, etc. will only make you look like a jerk and waste space in the forum.

The part that really pissed me off was when the Husband kills his family and then himself because...... in real life, once he shot his wife in the head, he would've been taken out immediately before even drawing the gun on his kids.... at that point I thought the whole movie was *beep*

And the more they showed the "Real" footage the more convenient it was for the plot, holy *beep* static during the footage at the most important part of it.

I think this kind of marketing should be banned, I mean if you are going to state that its based off of true events fair enough, but saying that and then putting fake "real" footage and fake "aliasing" peoples names and *beep* False adverstising to some extent if you ask me.

Unfortunately people will still pay to watch it and some people will actually beleive this sort of stuff to some extent.

This found footage genre in hollywood is getting too damn old. Find some real proper footage already!!! g'dammitt...............

Bit of a late reply but I just saw the film. The short answer is no. Not even the slightest. The fact of the matter is by hinting that it's real they have seriously hurt the film. It would have been a decent if not pretty good creepy/scary alien abduction story had they not bothered with that gimmick. And had the actress supposedly playing the real Abby Tyler not been listed on imdb for a limited number of roles. :)
