What an awesome movie!!

I like how it expanded on the wasteland and showed Gas City and the Bullet farm. The chase scene in the middle of the movie was fantastic. Hemsworth nailed his villain role. Probably the best driving and motorcycle stunts I've ever scene in a movie. The crazy characters and quirky dialog is spot on with the other movies in the series. Just a very entertaining movie all around which is why I watch movies. George Miller rocks!

Excellent rating, ditto for me.

Also agree with all the points in your OP.

I just watched it earlier today. Am a huge fan of Fury Road and consider it one of the top 3 action movies to come out in the last 20 years. Rated it a 9/10

Thought this movie would be underwhelming due to the subpar reviews, but to my pleasant surprise, found it really good. While it doesn't have non-stop action like FR, it still has them scenes in spades and was more balanced with the world building and the origin story. The main characters are also a lot more fleshed out, and the 3 primary locations were well designed. One of the things I really liked about this movie was that the female empowerment theme was done without any nauseating, misandrist dialogue or condescending lecturing unnecessarily shoe horned in, as has almost become the norm of late.

Anya TJ and CH both did a great job and the former was as good as Furiosa, if not better, than Charlize Theron IMO. This movie is proof that men don't dislike strong female characters as long as they aren't man-hating or disrespectful, insufferable feminists and I hope there will be more of this in the future. Rate it an easy 8.5/10

I second that feeling. Saw it twice in cinema on the same week. Muuuuch better than most films that come out these days, and first time I've actually liked Chris Hemsworth in anything

reply

He's great in everything.

Did you ever see extraction on Netflix?

It's a relentless over the top action movie.

It cam out during the lockdown and I enjoyed it in that crap time period.

He was also hilarious in the horrible Ghost Busters.

reply

Agreed, awesome movie. It's a shame that it flopped.

9/10

seems like some people didn't like it expanded the world.

I don't like that Mad Max isn't in these films but they are still better that most movies today.

They are exciting and creative vs dull and predictable.

reply

I didn't think it was very good. It's too long and not entertaining or exciting enough.
