This misery needs to end. It's the same every season

This show is exhausting. Having such small seasons they still have filer episodes. Hughie's father side story was so boring and dragged forever. I was fast forwarding every time it showed up.

Frenchie and that Colin side story? Even 10 times more boring. I was fast forwarding every time it showed up.

And every season is the same. They try to kill Homelander and fail. Because what will they do with show without their main villain? So the must keep him alive. That's why they made ridiculous "change of mind" for Butcher and gang and stopped Soldier Boy from killing him.

And every season Homelander is on the brink of mental breakdown and is about to kill everyone and go loose. And never does.

Why is Deep still here? He has no personality, no useness and should have been killed off seasons ago. At least A-Train finally had his character development and helped The Boys. Deep is just not a good person and Yes Boy for Homelander.Too much time spending to him and his private life with Octopus. With A-Train at least it lead to him being miserable with Homelander and going to other side.

I absolutely forgot what was happening last season and was confused when they kept referring to events of past season like Starlight throwing into trash her costume and Soldier Boy not being dead. And Butcher being sick.

I'm glad it's ending next season. It's slowly been going downhill more and more each season and reached a point where it feels like the plot is just running around in the circles. It feels like the writers are more concerned with commenting on current politics and how much they hate Trump and right wingers than tell an actual story. Season 4 was by far the worst season so far.

I too am getting weary of it and found myself falling asleep watching it a lot.
I thought S4 was for finale. But 1 more to go it seems.

The show peaked with its first season. Some entertaining stuff in the subsequent seasons but they've not reached the heights of the first season imo.

Agree. It's gotten worse each season, but 4 was the first I can say I didn't really enjoy that much at all.

Ya, same here. Last season was carried by Soldier Boy & even to an extent Maeve.

But there was no one to root for or keep you interested this season.

The octopus stuff was silly, pointless, boring and actually gross - and not gross in a fun way.

Yes. Such a filler. Basically everything about Deep is meaningless time killing. A-Train was boring too. But at least all his scenes lead to one thing - he finally had enough of Homelander and self-hate and went to other side.

Depp is such an empty character

Dude's an unlikeable prick. No redeemimg qualities. I really hope they don't try to redeem him.

Hope he dies horribly though.

Legit surprised he's made it five seasons tho...

Who the fuck keeps watching a show that starts to suck? I watched S04E01 and walked away. Plenty more fish in the sea.

The gore aspect of the show is the only 'fun' part. There's no real plot. There's no real character development like in early seasons. Each episode felt like a pointless side quest written by a fan.

The scenes between Homelander and his son had exactly the same structure. Boring.

Just finished season 4 & you honestly Nailed my thoughts on the show. Genuinely, it's like you read my mind. 😆

It's kinda like Stranger Things. They regurgitate the exact same story every single season. Stranger Things relies on nostalgia & The Boys on gore.

I'm glad season 5 is the last.

P.S. They wasted the shape-shifter. Interesting character. Could've honestly been the big bad this season.

There really wasn't really an actual big bad of the season in season 4 & it affected it imo.
