i find the movie's lack of Alia disturbing

so apparently the Dune 2020 movie and the sequel arent even going to include Alia?

Alia is included, somewhat. Anya Taylor Joy is cast as adult Alia in Paul's visions. I don't see anything about the child Alia.

Alia was only in the second part of the book anyway and figures much more prominently in Dune Messiah.

If you read the book, then you would understand that Alia is born when Jessica became a Reverend mother. That portion of the plot had yet to happen in Dune part 1. Jessica is pregnant with Alia in Dune part 1.

Alia was in the 2000 version of Dune.

Did you fail to watch Dune part 1 or read the book? Surely you understand that Dune parts 1 and 2 will cover the whole of the book Dune (1965)?

Why would you expect Dune part 1 to have an actress for Alia when she is not born yet? Why are you expecting to see Alia on screen when Dune part 2 is not due for release until March 2024? Surely you understand it is February 27, 2024 now?

If you really read the book, then why are you expecting Alia to appear on screen when she was not born until after Jessica and Paul were accepted in Stilgar's sietch?

Evidently Villenuve is saving her for the third movie, which is kinda stupid considering she was born before Paul took the throne.

Jessica (Alia's mother) is pregnant with her prior to the Harkonnen attack. I think the infant Alia will be shown sometime in Dune Part 2.

Alia does not figure much into the plot other than the Fremen being alarmed at her intellectual maturity as a toddler and her actions during the attack on the Emperor in the finale.
