Not Fincher's best work, but still very enjoyable!
I give it a 7.5/10.
shareThanks !
shareHow do you rank Fincher's other works? Especially Seven, Fight Club, Zodiac and The Social Network.
shareMy ranking best to worst:
1. Fight Club
2. The Social Network
3. Gone Girl
4. Seven
5. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
6. Zodiac
7. The Killer
8. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
9. The Game
10. Panic Room
11. Mank
12. Alien 3
Honestly enjoyed all his films besides Mank and Alien 3
Ok, thanks!
shareThis is a nice rundown of his movies. I haven't actually seen Social Network, though.
shareI'm surprise you didn't throw Mindhunter into the mix since he's the Executive Producer, fits the genre and he's directed several episodes.
shareAwesome to hear, thanks!
shareSounds like it’s the worst of Fincher’s best genre - the killer thriller.
I’m looking forward to seeing it, but it’s depressing that Fincher is one of the few directors whose work I get remotely exited about. Scorsese is another but he’s likely to croak any minute.
Ari Aster was until a I saw Beau Is Afraid, eww. Spielberg was incredible until he started going political, now his films are dull propaganda. Cameron is obsessed with Avaturd 🙄
With Tarantino retiring the outlook is depressingly bleak.
What about more recent indie directors such as Sean Baker and the Safdie brothers? For me, those guys are by far, the most interesting filmmakers working at the moment.
shareI rated it a 9/10. I would likely rank it seventh out of his 12 feature films.
shareIt's well done but unoriginal.
shareIt’s his best since Gone Girl. I would rank:
1. The Social Network
2. Zodiac
3. Se7en
4. Fight Club
5. Gone Girl
6. The Killer
7. Curious Case of Benjamin Button
8. The Game
9. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
10. Alien 3
11. Mank
12. Panic Room
