$14M per episode. Nine per season, 40 min?

That sounded so crazy that I had to verify that. Totally insane. I can't imagine why they would spend so much. It's a really incredible-looking show, with a pretty deep story. (A little confusing at times to me). But that's a big chunk of change for sure.

It looks like most of the budget goes on music licensing and cast.

No way would the visuals cost this.

Madness if the figure is true they will never get near that back.

I don’t know why people are shocked by this, the animation is fantastic and high quality animation isn’t cheap. Across the Spider-Verse had a budget of $150 million and that’s a 140 minute film whereas this is a series that has a total running time exceeding 12 hours.

It’s a shame for that money though they couldn’t get some good writing for season 2 instead of the mess we got.
