I'm actually shocked at how bad it was. If somebody would have told me the plot before I watched it, I wouldn't have believed them. Plz Marvel, no season 2.

shareAgree, if this was a 12 episode per season show and halfway in She-Hulk went into Marvel Studios and complained and then it went on from there to up the ante of the show fine. Which I guess is what they were attempting to do to entice people to Season 2, but it's a mid-season thing at the least not a wait a year and see where it goes one.
Sure fair enough, it's harking back to a comic where they had She-Hulk storm the offices of Marvel Comics to demand better writers after she’s told her regular one (John Byrne) tripped over a dangling sub-plot and broke his neck, but again it's not a finale thing to do.
I think the reason why it worked in the comic better was that John Byrne would do it for single issue stories. That works fine and could be funny for a standalone story. Doing it at the end of the season’s storyline doesn’t work as well. People are invested in a story that lasts multiple chapters and they have to wait months for the resolution.
shareTotally agree, as I say if it was a longer season and that happened mid-season it could have worked better as it could have been used to progress the story for the second half of the season. Could even have She-Hulk leaving Marvel Offices looking smug and pleased with herself, then it rewinds to where she arrived at the resort then the credits roll, next episode picks up from there with the changes.
shareThey should not have done it at all. Breaking the fourth wall TOO much and as stupidly as they did it will eventually turn off fans of the films/tv shows. People who don't give a fig about the comics. I use to read the comics and never cared for the 4th wall breaking. It always took me out of the story to the point at which I didn't not care...

The problem is the whole breaking the fourth the wall thing went to far. I never like it to start with. Don't care if it's in the comics. The films and shows should be a bit more grounded in reality. When they have the main character jump off the disney+ page and go into marvel studios...(as cool as the effect was) It doesn't belong in the MCU. It just doesn't. Ever since Guardians they have continually upped the ante on silliness. It is now to the point where old campy tv shows like Batman 66 and Lost in Space seem much more grounded in reality...lol...
To make matters worse they are bringing Deadpool into the MCU. 🤣

It was fucking stupid. Ok. Fans of the MCU and NOT the comics are gonna think it was completey awful. The cracks have been forming in the MCU for at least 2 years now. It was great in the beginning but now that they have stupid characters like She Hulk and Deadpool talking to the audiences and leaving their show it's only gonna get worse.
Sadly they are bringing great characters like daredevil and Wolverine down with them.
