Eric Christian Olsen was 30, pushing 31, years old at the time of filming. Feels to me like some of these guys would be a little more comfortable in "To Catch a Predator" than in the classroom. How old is too old to play High School students? Anybody got some other great examples of actors WAY TOO old for the roles they are playing.

You guys in your teens and 20s will be 30 before you know it and you will still think you are young! Life is way too short and moves too fast to be hung up on age brackets.
shareyeah i used to think it's ridiculous that 30 year olds are playing teens. but now that I'm in my 30s, i see these kids in high school, and seriously to me they look about 9 or 10. lol
shareHey, im born 1980 and I still look like a teen and thats what matters in hollywood. The fact that older and more experienced actors often are easier to work with makes the film makers choose these "older" guys. I do agree though that this guy isnt among the actors in his age who can play a teen and get a way with it.
shareIf I were going to make a teen movie I would want all the actors playing the teens to be actually teenagers. I would say we are auditioning actors 14 to 19 for my movie.
I feel like actors 16 to 19 are more interested in doing kids movies about teens compared to teen movies.
Dance til dawn is a teen movie where all the teens are played by teens.
