After listen to podcast that probably all the haters didn't watch. They mentioned the original He-man Episode called Teela's Triumph. Now if your a He-man fan, a real He-man fan of the Original Series. You will tell me what this episode is about. Ill wait........im waiting.... still waiting....god this is embarrassing. Since you don't know, ill tell you. Its the episode that Teela find out her mother is the Sorceress. This Show is obviously about Teela becoming the new Sorceress. That why its about Teela. They said they where going to resolve old plotlines. Well that was one of them. Infact its the only one. Its not some nefarious conspiracy by Mattel and Kevin Smith to emasculate He-Man. Which doubt Mattel would want that to happen in the first place. There not telling you this because there not just give the whole plot away. Gees.
Just as bad as Smith himself and the media. Someone who disagrees and/or leaves a negative review or comment is not a hater. Typical Internet buzzword that is shouted about to lump everyone together. It is lazy and does nothing but to drive even further wedges between creators and fandom.
original He-man Episode called Teela's Triumph
Are you comparing 1 episode to a series? Were all the male charcaters killed off, emasculated and sidelined in that episode. Using your own words "Ill wait........im waiting.... still waiting....god this is embarrassing." The answer is no. In the original Master of the Universe and the 2002 version they never once sidelined the female characters like they did to the male characters. But I guess it is current year and so alright to be as misandrist and ahteful towwards men as they see fit. If this was done to woman or a show targetted to girls there would hell on, hundreds of articles calling it sexist. Hypocrisy.
This Show is obviously about Teela becoming the new Sorceress
Were you in the writers room when the story and script were created. The answer to that would be NO. So that statement is a complete assumption based on nothing.
This show currently was garbage. The animation was good, the music was really good. But the plot and story, the bait and switch, the advertisment were perposefully done because they knew full well they couldn't release a Teela show as no one would watch it so it was marketed as He-Man and then they kill him, twice.
Why when it is a girls show is done for girls with girl power and all the usual buzzwords but a show for boys can't be for boys, why? Why is She-Ra for girls but He-Man has to be for everyone. Hypocrisy. In current TV my daughters have any number of shows and role models targeted to them, my son has literally none.
Go ahead and call me hater.
Kevin Smith lied, he said He-Man would not be sidlined and he was. every male character was killed, emasculated or sidelined but none of the female characters in a show supposedly targetted towards boys. Let that sink in.
What word was i suppose to use. Dude they pretty much already gave away most of the plot to part two. But if you really want to hate it that much, go ahead. Jesus.
So again you disagree, dislike something you are a hater. Sad, very sad. There can be no discourse if that is your only opinion of somone who is negative to a show/movie.
Dude they pretty much already gave away most of the plot to part two
Still a complete assumption based on nothing.
But if you really want to hate it that much, go ahead. Jesus.
See what I mean, you are not allowed to dislike something without being called a hater or some other ism. You do realise something don't you, you can dislike something and not be a hater, you get that don't you. No you probably don't.
Do you honeslty think He-Man fans set out to review bomb this show or hate on it just for the sake of hating it, what a ridiculous statment. It is the same as Star Wars. No those same fans that will now have countless articles written about them would have bought every toy and watched every episode and given it a glowing review if it was in fact good, which it isn't. You could have had Teela as a co lead without emasculting, sidelining or killing every male character in a show supposeldy targetted towards boys.
When Grace Randolph even thinks it is bad you know yo have messed up.
That being my last point because you will just come back with the same "hater" statement as that is what always happens.

Wow what a great post. You summed up a lot of [current year] problems. Girls can have shows for girls, but boys can't have anything. That's literally the message Hollyweird and all of Big Tech are sending out.
Ahh so i'm a crybaby for stating the blatently obvious.
Woman complain about sexism and not enough woman and they are championed and you get a million articles written about empowerment and girl power.
Men complain about sexism and not enough men and they are derided and you get a million articles calling them manbabies and neckbeards and "cry babies"
I understand the complaint there isn't enough He-Man, because...well, there isn't There's a reason for it - and it's a pretty valid reason (he is DEAD) - but I would hope he is featured a HELL OF A LOT in part 2. He HAS TO BE in order for the show to work overall. I don't take issue with Teela being the focus for a portion of the show, but Masters of the Universe IS He-Man and Skeletor.
But as far as the complaints about this being "woke", that's baseless gibberish. There's absolutely NOTHING political about this show, let alone biased politics. There's no agenda, just fucking man-babies throwing tantrums.
If you ask me, He-man is just as macho as he was in the original. He still has all his muscles. Hes just dead for 3 episodes and from my understanding Adam isn't dead again. Hes just wounded. If Noelle Stevenson had done this show. Prince Adam and Man at Arms would have been a couple And they would have invited skeletor to prom. Which i guess you would liked better.
When i think of woke, I think of making characters gay for no reason. I think about changing a characters sex for no reason. I think of changing a characters race for no reason. Ill admit they did do that with King Grayskull, but hes such a minor character that its not that big of a deal. You know what show did all the things that i just mentioned. The 2018 She-Ra, almost every character was gay and all the male characters super emasculated. Way more than how He-man is in this show. But i guess people love this 2018 She-ra a show over this. Which is ok story that hopefully will have a better in the second half.
EXACTLY! To a fucking T! I cannot FUCKING STAND forced woke bullshit, but this is like a .5 out of 10 on the woke scale. No one is randomly gay or trans, there's zero politics (He-Man never had it), and there's ONE insignificant race swap. I agree just randomly changing it is fucking stupid, but he's such a minor character to use that and call the show woke is complete and total bullshit.
I enjoyed the show, but I agree, He-Man AND Skeletor better fucking be in ALL of part 2.
One episode out of how many? There were plenty of other episode that focused on the other masters that doesn't change the fact that He-Man is the protagonist, strongest man in the universe and main character
I'm certain that if Teela appeared in eight episodes, and He-Man (what a ridiculous name) appeared in only six, it would not bother you in the slightest.
I used to watch He-Man as a kid & had a few of the toys, but other than the old cartoon I haven’t followed anything He-Man related since.
But honestly what did the writers think the reaction would be from the original He-Man fans? The fans who grew up with this character. This was their first chance to see him back in action in decades… So of course “killing” him in the first episode & sidelining his original sidekicks would be an issue for many of them.
I think, just a guess here, that most old school fans who were looking forward to this were doing so because they wanted to see He-Man & his friends (Teela included) battling Skeletor again. At least for the first few episodes. Then doing the whole death thing towards the end of the first season might not have been such a big deal.
They just came in too hot. So of course it’s controversial.
What original sidekicks were sidelined? Orko and Teela were given huge roles.
There's some validity to the complaints - He-man (and Skeletor) were barely in the show and they ARE the main characters after all - but expanding the mythology was cool, changing things up from He-Man and Skeletor (this was almost entirely the original show episode after episode), and the action and animation were great. This is now a woke show thought. That's just something angry Republican whackjobs say. THis was half the show. He-Man will guaranteed be the focus or the 2nd half. But putting He-Man front and center on the poster and then outright denying the Teela Show rumors was a pretty weasely move by Smith.
I bet he dose, it probably has a freshly stock mini-fridge of soy milk. That he drinks on a daily bases. He talk about Soy so much, you would think hes a soy sells-man.
