Just like with Charlies Angels and several other failed "strong woman" type films have failed this is failing because men hate women on lead roles apparently.
These people never learn.
Charlies Angel was one of the most men disrespecting big budget movies ever made. I wouldn't compare this movie here, which does not show disrespect against men with that. But of course, you can make it a self fulfillling prophecy.

Honestly I feel like they gave up and from articles and reviews I saw they do admit that movie is bad and people are tired of Marvel in general. And that is a reason. This movie is not good and even woke journos admit it.
I have barely watched anything in the Multiverse Saga so am not going to start now. And I can't be bothered watching Ms Marvel and Secret Invasion just to "get" the full story of The Marvels.
