You should really wait for those once-a-week international updates before reaching stupid conclusions. You always undershoot. First the DS2 gaffe, then the TG2 disaster, and now this. And it's only day 17 of this one's release. Only gets worse from here, lol. share

Then it looks like he was dead-on balls accurate as the film is petering out at about 608-610. Might turn a small profit, but certainly not what Marvel is used to.
I didn't say anything about profit or success.
We have a running thing about his predictions. He'd be right if it had left theaters worldwide a few days ago, but it isn't leaving them anytime soon. And most international numbers are updated weekly, not daily, as domestic does. It will be past 610 when Thursday's numbers are added today, then another weekend where the daily haul will go up for 3 days + whatever a week's worth of international adds. And it still won't be done after that.
are you sure? Disney already announced it will be on Disney+ next wednesday.

No one said it was raking. I haven't seen it, I'm not defending it, I'm not saying it's a hit. I'm merely busting his chops over his "barely 600" being wrong, b/c it already is, and it will wrong by more.
Not Thor, Lightyear is on Disney + 8/3. And the bulk of the box office will come before that 47 day mark, but it will still earn $ in theaters, just like Doctor Strange 2 did (he predicted 750 for that one, it made 955) after that. But it's only at day 21 right now.
