Last time I was in Seattle, there was quite a few Asian people there. In a cast of 24 there is one light skinned black female, one very Euro looking Asian male, and one brown skinned male who plays a "Demon Soldier". Maybe this series should take place in future Sweden instead, though Sweden is currently more diverse than this cast.

Thank goodness what you say isn't true then - the book is based on a future world, and therefore needs population based on what our world will become, not what it was.
IN FACT, projections would make Shannara full of coffee coloured people. To be fair, there is some evidence of different skin tones in Shannara.
Well i believe the show is filmed in new zealand, now if you payed in attention in history class at school you will know that if you go back to the 18th century the english was running a mock taking over most of the western world. Previous to this they caused alot of chaos and destruction through out africa and regular enslaved many of the african people. Now as the english was colonizing, well everywhere, they would often bring there african slaves to do all the dirty work and this is why you have a high population of people of african descent across the americas and parts of europe. Now australia was used by the english as a penal colony! So lots of condemned criminals was sent to australia but as they was convicted criminals they was not given the luxury of slaves so none where ever relocated there it was just the whites who then meet the indigenous population of aborigines! So most of the population of the australias is therefore white and aboriginal, the only people of african descant would have immigrated there possibly within the last 50years or so. Plus with australia's tight immigration laws and work permits it would probably have been very hard costly and time consuming for the production and casting team of the show to cast many roles outside of actors who already work in australia with the exception of a few key roles. Which is probably why the majority of the cast/extras is white with a few aborigines.

Who cares, enjoy or don't enjoy the show, but not liking a show based on the race of the actors playing in it makes you a racist either way you look at it, since you're actually paying attention to such things.
Watch the show again and you'll notice people of "colour".
Plus most humans on the show are just embarrassing anyway without this having to turn into some "anti-racist" OR racist *BEEP* contest.
PS: Who cares about Sweden this show is portrayed in a future North America?
And the show IS diverse with all the creatures and characters in it anyway.
