Last time I was in Seattle, there was quite a few Asian people there. In a cast of 24 there is one light skinned black female, one very Euro looking Asian male, and one brown skinned male who plays a "Demon Soldier". Maybe this series should take place in future Sweden instead, though Sweden is currently more diverse than this cast.

yes. the white people probably finally managed to achieve their goals and wiped all the none whites out.
it's a repressed desire among white folks, so it makes sense their images of the future would have none of the undesirable races.
I joke, but i think its partially true.
White people have seriously repressed racist desires that comes across in things such as these, where non-whites are completely whitewashed out of history and the future and the present wherever whenever possible.
You see it in the Oscars, in the news, in the jobs.

Everybody knows that in any conflict e.g. war, serial killer, natural disaster, etc, al. people of color always die first.
shareivy973, you forgot deaf people, blind people, handicapped people, handicapped gay people, handicapped deaf people etc. Aborigines, Bantus, the vertically challenged, Latinos, Inuits, pygmies, dolphins.
As you so rightly say, the show needs to cast people types that people of today will relate to. You obviously believe in equality and diversity, so why the h*ll leave out the above? Most of them have TVs so are you some kind of hater?

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing .
America was 90% White when the first book was written.
So to stay faithful to the time the book was written, the characters should be 90% White.
even if this was true, there is no reason to enforce that rule on generations that aren't the same make-up, especially since the book is based in the future, not a past period of America.
If anything the onus is on us to correct a prediction about the future, else we'd still be making films about the world ending in 2012.
