Do you guys think Summer and him will ever be able to become friends?

I know Summer wouldn´t have a problem with it. But the guy was really in love with her, and suffered his biggest heartbreak because of her. Do you guys think he will ever be able to trust her enough to be his friend. To really see her as someone he can count on? Could that happen in real life (having a real friendship with someone who broke your heart). I am asking because an ex is asking me to start talking with me again. I know she only wants be friends with me because she is in a relationship right now. I just don´t think I can do it, I can´t see someone who broke my heart (really bad) as someone who I can trust as a friend. I don´t know if I am being inmature. We broke up a few years ago (I know,a lot of time), and it was because she didn´t love me as Idid with her. Anyway Idon´t know if I am being inmature by saying this. But well That´s how I feel. What do you guys think?

Yes, once Tom and Summer both find their soul mates, I think they would then be in a position where one isn't putting the other on a pedestal.

No you can't be friends with someone you were in "love" with.

Agree with most of the posters here - they can never be friends anymore. It's just not possible he fell in love with her so deeply (and was extremely hurt by it, he literally couldn't function for the longest time after it).

I'd love to hear an update on OP's situation 2 years later but I hope you didn't become friends with your ex again, sounds like impending heartbreak.

No, she used him and then tossed him aside without even considering his feelings. Tom and Summer are better off not even being friends, I think they left one another on the best possible note.

Of course he'll be able to be friends with Summer... IF & ONLY IF he finds TRUE LOVE with Autumn (or some other gal), whereby he will be thankful & grateful that he didn't end up with that fickle, cold-hearted robot. In fact, she seemed more genuine, warmer & she was even better looking!
