Have You ever Eaten at any of these Places?

Just wondering - I never have; I was in Minneapolis a short time ago and wanted to check out The Nook, but never made it downtown. I'd love to sample a few of these joints.

Love watching the show...

I've been to the Fly Trap in Ferndale, MI. It's amazing! I had the B.L.A.T which is to die for. I have dreams about it. The only hitch is that there are only about 6 tables and the small bar so theres usually a wait but its so worth it.

blow fly inn in MS.
That was really good.
They even said they got tons of business from the whole thing. So that was cool.

THERE IS NO NORMAL!

I've never actually eaten at Pizza Junction in North Tonawanda, NY [where I'm from] but a few of my relatives have ordered from them and I got to eat some of it.

Pizza Junction isn't too far from where I live so I should look into getting pizza from them some time.

Trust me, a lot of the local pizza joints in or around the Buffalo NY area have good pizza [better than Pizza Hut or Dominoes]. I can't judge them all one by one, because I have yet to taste pizza from every single local pizza joint in the Buffalo-Niagara region.

What is my favorite local pizza joint in western NYS? I can't choose an absolute favorite.

Eaten at Pizza Junction in North Tonawanda, NY (suburb of Buffalo)several times throughout the years, pass it every day on the way to school. (I live in Bflo.)
Pretty much ANYTHING in there is reasonably priced and you get a ton of food no matter what you get. I've always had to get a to-go box, can't finish that much food in one sitting. Their pizza is outstanding, no need to ever order "extra" anything, comes with plenty.

When hubby and I plan our vacations we check to see what places have been featured near the places we're visiting and we plan our meal stops so we can hit them.

We've been to several, but the most memorable ones are Hackneys in Chicago and Charlie Parkers in Springfield, IL.

Grover Cleveland's in Amherst NY was the best of 3 places that I visited.Fantastic hamburgers great chicken wings and the best onion rings that I ever had.

Broadway Diner in Baltimore MD.As a Canadian i never have tried true crab cakes. My wife and I both ordered the crab cake sandwich.they both came out a little burnt on the top.It was a bit disapointing.they do have a great selection of deserts though. Will not go back and wont recommend.

The Village Cafe in Richmond VA.This place has been there a long time.Great atmosphere .We had breakfast. It was fine.Next time I go back I will try lunch or dinner items for sure.

well i've not had the broadway diner's crabcake. tho, in baltimore, faidley seafood is the classic place for them. obrycki's for crabcakes & steamed crabs. as for outside of the city, the narrows is a family favorite.

It's hard to believe I'm the first poster who has been to Metro 29 in Arlington, VA. The portions are huge. My crabcake and the sauce they served with it were excellent. Husband & son-in-law loved the flounder, and Jim loved his side Greek salad as well. The fries were disappointing--a little too thick & light for my taste. There was a chocolate cheesecake that was like a slice of heaven--all four of us shared it. Everyone liked the soups, too. The other diners admired my 7-week-old granddaughter! I would have preferred the Nationals game (which they won, beating Philadelphia!) to the NASCAR race that was on the televisions, but at least it updated the score.

I live in San Diego. I've been to Hodads in Ocean Beach several times before and after they were featured on DDD. IMO they make a good burger and have a fun atmosphere, but the food isn't as special as they made it out to be. Hodads consistently wins the best burger of the year award in San Diego magazine, so maybe they are great burgers, but they just don't do it for me.

We also went to the Hob Nob Hill for breakfast after seeing it featured on the show. It was fantastic! We would go every weekend if we had the time, but the wait is always too long. I recommend the breakfast/brunch at any of the San Diego area Bully's restaurants, they kick butt. Another great place is Du-pars, they make the best pancakes in San Diego, and they do a pretty awesome chicken pot-pie for supper.

One more great overlooked dive in San Diego is the Cass Street Bar and Grill in PB. It's a meat market full of college students at night, but if you go there for lunch an a weekday afternoon, they are serving great food. They make a crazy good cioppino and several other great fresh seafood dishes. I always have the cioppino but my friends have raved on the other dishes. The hardest part about eating there is getting past the smell of urine outside the front door. A true dive.

the urine smell. podnah's pit barbecue down in portland looks way cool too.

Just put it on the Underhill's tab.
