Even ugly fat women are able to get a guy. Obviously, this is a man's fantasy that a hot woman would fall for him even though he is broke, fat and hairy ugly.
I couldn't stand movies like this. It's all about the men's fantasy. Men are fat, bald, ugly, broke and the women are drop dead gorgeous. I want to see a lot of movies now where the women are fat and hair and broke and a stunning hunk will fall for her along with other hunks. *eyeroll*
The fact of the matter is, women care less about visuals. I see it time and time again, average (at best) looking guy, with beautiful women. It's because the guy has other redeeming features, like a sense of humor, confidence, similar interests, sense of style, and more often than not, tons of money. But I could show you some facebook friends that support this argument, but most people have their profiles set to private. And the perception of beauty has change somewhat over the years anyways, Seth Rogen isn't a bad looking guy, just not as good looking as Elizabeth Banks. I mean take a loot at Keven Smith. He's much fatter than Seth Rogen, and his wife while not stunning, it as least fit and has modeled for playboy. She was rich before she even knew Kevin Smith so you can't really say it's just so she could live the good life.

shareAlthough I don't find Banks to be "gorgeous", I still think they should have casted someone less cute than Banks. Don't get me wrong, Banks did a great job with the part, I just feel the part didn't really fit someone who looks like her.
Rosario Dawson was originally supposed to play the part. Now her look would have matched that character more.
