Leo's Acting

Totally off the hook, when he flips out just before April runs out into the forest, you could almost see real pain in his eyes. This guy needs an Oscar already.

Also my favorite Leo moment in this movie. He is so great in this and everything else he's in. Just watched Wolf of Wall Street, he definitely deserves an Oscar for his performance. So much fun to watch.

I agree, it was a great performance. Read more about why here: http://alphashadowsblog.wordpress.com/2014/03/06/revolutionary-road-film-review/

The part that almost makes me cry is his last few words to her before he leaves for work, when he says 'so you don't hate me?' and almost cries as hes saying it! OMGGG poor thing! Despite the sort of husband he was towards her at least you knew the love was still there!

Ashmi any question

It was a great heart-breaking performance. Well worthy of awards, I thought.

Absolutely. If that moment doesn't have tears dripping from your eyes then you must not have a heart.

reply

Yes, the whole morning-after scene was heartbreaking.
And when Leo asks why she is even living with him if she hates him so much. So tragic.

reply

I truly think it's one of his best performances ever. He makes the movie heartbreaking beyond belief.

reply

I'd say its one of THE best performances ever. I still prefer him in Blood Diamond, but he is amazing in this film. It's one of those movies that you want to watch simply to experience the acting. Epic.

reply

He was phenomenal and never gets enough credit.

reply

Could you imagine going back in time to 1997 and telling your younger self that one day Leonardo DiCaprio would be your favorite actor?

reply

Lol. I agree. And compare Leo to Christian Slater. Does Slater even still exist?

reply

I could because I knew he was ambitious.
I prefer him now to then. He grew up well.

reply

He was indeed very good, easily his best performance. But sometimes he seemed not quite there in the more subtle scenes and his body gestures felt unreal sometimes.

reply

Agree with OP: Leo is epic in this movie.
