April gets banged twice in this movie, and no one lasted 15 seconds...
I think is more realistic that what Hollywood have made believe is the real average time.

I disagree with the posters saying that these men in the 1950's were inexperienced. By today's standards, certainly yes. It's been a while since I saw this film but IIRC Leonardo had served in WWII. I would argue that these men were the most sexually experienced American men in our history up to that point in time, having been to Europe and Asia and enjoying the women there (if the tales are true.)

shareit was the 50's, guys didn't need to last more than 15 seconds.. the sexual revolution of the 60's was a mere decade away. back then not much thought went into longevity or female fulfillment, as long as it took the guy to be satisfied is how long it lasted.. no thought for mutual pleasure... and in a married life situation things get mundane...robotic... procedural.. if the destination is all that matters the journey to get there becomes boring, just another task... in this case a guy will always figure out the quickest easiest way to get to that destination with minimal effort.. 15 seconds of effort....
isn't it wonderful that these days things are different.
I can think of a couple more movies with 15 second sex acts -- part of showing how unsatisfied the act is to the woman. (1) Ryan's daughter, the marriage night between Robert Mitchum and Sarah Miles and (2)Coming Home, the scene between Jane Fonda and Bruce Dern (who were married in the movie). Both women committed adultery and had a much more lengthy sesssion with their lovers.

This thread is full of *beep* Sometimes men last 15 seconds, sometimes they last longer. There are many factors.
The scene between Frank and April in the kitchen was really heated and sexy, and if a guy is really turned on, he tends not to last as long.
The scene between April and the neighbor in the car was really sexy for the guy as well, as he's used to his (rather traditional) wife.
