But Sarah Looks NOTHING like Kimberly...
Am I the only one who sees almost no resemblance? And it's not that Sarah's a bad actress, but I don't really like watching her in movies. Aquamarine was annoyng with her in it

shareNo, she looks nothing like Kimberly, but she did very well
I'm the Queen of Missouri and you're not so ha ha ha.
I don't know why, but I could totally see Sara playing an older more mature Marnie. I just keep saying to myself Marnie grew up beautiful and it totally works.
(Not that Kimberly J Brown isn't beautiful mind you.)
...You think they thought we wouldn't notice?
shareI guess I'm really, really late with this whole argument, but I actually watched--and enjoyed--the earlier Halloweentown movies. I tried watching Return to Halloweentown on Disney but just couldn't finish it. The girl that plays the new Marnie just didn't do it for me.
I liked the original actress. She wasn't beautiful or Hollywood glam, and that's what made it work for me. The original actress (Kimberly) kind of respresented the average girl in extrodinary circumstances. To me, that was a vital part of plot. I might give it another chance, when I'm in a better mood to tolerate it, but I don't know.
Marnie's last name IS Piper. It was her fathers last name. Its easy to asume since Gwen wanted to raise normal children that they would formally be Pipers and not Cromwells.
As someone stated earlier, everyone in Halloweentown knows them as Cromwells. They are only half Cromwell.
I was watching the first Halloweentown a couple of nights ago and was wondering why they were called Cromwells and not by thier father's last name.
Makes sense now.
