I am totally engrossed watching the scenes with the brothers, but the scenes featuring the actress playing Salvor Hardin (including the Australian guy) just kill it for me.

It feels like I am just watching an actress playing a part. When the scene calls for a dramatic performance, she just pulls that one constipated expression of hers.

Reminds me of that quote: "a good actor makes acting look easy, a bad actor makes it look hard".

Because they didn't hire with talent as the #1 criteria.

Aye. The Cleon's are pretty awesome as well as any scene with Jared Harris.

Foundation is awesome, I already went through it twice. Any scene on Trantor is pure gold.

quotes a black reviewer on youtube who has lots of followers and also considered the Terminus segments weaker. I agree.

However, the acting noticeably improved in season 2. Salvor even smiles a few times!

The problem here is they got well established actors to play the white guys but the black girl, well, there are no good ones out there so they just found some token bullshit and that's what we got. A woman with zero charisma and mediocre acting skills to play the lead. Literally every woke casting I've seen had featured nobodies and they're all fucking terrible actresses too.

You have no way of knowing why those actresses we cast. And S02 is a genuine improvement across the board. And Salvor Hardin is not the lead (assuming that's who you mean)

ok, glad it's not just me. All the women are a drag, except for Demerzel. It's the problem with tv show's today. I get it, you need to add women, but make them as equals, not the Mary Sue's.
