Sorry if this has been started before, but I thought it would be fun to see who everyone liked better for kyle or just altogether. I'll start, I pick team Amanda.

Team Jessi, aaaaaall the way.
First, she is a real person. Has her ups and downs, quality and flaws. She makes mistakes, but she gets them right.
And I love how she grows in the second season. I hope people don't forget she was programmed to be a little evil at first, but she DOEST fight it. And I think she is great with Kyle for that. They are not perfect togheter, because no couple is (and Kyle and Amanda prove how boring "perfect" is). They learn a lot with each other, and they are the only ones who really understand what it's like to be one of their kind. And I feel like they are the best couple because it's a couple many people from the real life can relate to, because all this soul mate, love at first sight shiz...we know it's not real. We know that no relationship just "happens", love doesn't happen instantanly. It takes times. Its not perfect. And Kyle and Jessi relationship is all about that. They're not brothers, at first they are more like best friends, and again, something we can relate to.
Amanda is the typical Mary Sure. Pretty, sweet, boring, no flaws, all about being nice and following the rules. Her and Kyle have no chemistry at all and why did they fall in love, after all? They have absolutely nothing in common, they share no secrets, they never lived adventures togheter. Pretty. darn. boring. couple. SURREAL, they are so utopical that it becomes boring.
That's just me.

If I had not seen season 3 I would have whole heartedly gone with Amanda but have seen the 10 eps of season 3, especially the last couple, I would have to go with Jessi.
She has changed so much from season 2 where I found her extrememly manipulative. Ok, yes she's still doing some manipulation but it's not nasty. Her connection with Kyle has been there from the beginning and now it's finally come to the stage where they have both grown enough to recognise it for what it is.
Amanda was Kyle's first love but it was a puppy love, a crush, Jessi is a stronger, maturer love. A love that has grown over time and it will last through time. Jessi understands Kyle like no-one else ever can and it's the same for Kyle. We saw that in season 2 when Kyle stuck by Jessi when everyone told him not to.
I was a Kyle/Amanda fan and I rarely change my ship allegences, but this one made me jump ships.
So yeah, Team Jessi all the way.

Amanda. After Jessi's initial story arc was figured out and done with, she should have been written off the show. She never really worked, and Kyle XY jumped the shark when it became obvious that she was going to be a regular character.

Amanda, definitely. She and Kyle were so cute together. I think she could eventually be trusted with his secrets, just like Declan. I think that even her mother would eventually accept Kyle and could be trusted with the truth- in the far off future.
Jessi & Kyle seemed like a brother and sister to me. I know they weren't related, but it's almost as if they are twins. They both lived in pods for 16 years in the same building. They were "born" within a couple of months of eachother and both had to go through the same experience of figuring out the world around them. They're so similar in magical abilities. It's like they have a special twin bond. It's hard watching a possible romance between them.
Team Jessi. She can kick ass right beside him.

Amanda was bland and pristine, more like a doll than a believable teenager. It makes sense why the totally naive and baby-like Kyle would adore her as his first crush, but personality development with the Amanda character was practically nonexistent for most of the show. Practically all the female characters on the show were written as confident and strong-willed - except Amanda who mostly played innocent bystander. Sweet but not very compelling.
I think they wrote Jessi as too hostile to be likable in general, but her hostility and competitiveness made sense given the fact that EVERYONE kept deceiving or abandoning her, people didn't quite give her the same sort of acceptance about her innate weirdness that Kyle got (I guess because she hadn't mastered a goofy smile?), and she was programmed to do things while he wasn't. At the point where the show ended she was emotionally maturing almost at Kyle's level and trying to help other people rather than herself. The chemistry was more tangible between Kyle and Jessi. Plus, Jessi provided some of the funniest moments on the show!
Team Jessi all the way. Even one of the writers of Kyle XY on the 3rd Season DVD said that Amanda was puppy love and Jessi was the real love.

humm, first time around i looked amanda as kyle looked at her so intensely crushed on her, but then something bothered me, the way amanda response to kyle's expression & showing his feeling toward her, it's wasted on her.
then, i saw how jessi looked kyle with her intense eyes, that's what i wanted to see from someone whose worth kyle's love .
honestly, i really imagining kinda edward and bella version kind of chemistry for kyle .

i know what you mean , but i like to think that maybe because adam and sarah didnt work out that this means kyle and jessi would have! just because as much as they are alike their genetic creators they're their own person too , kyle didnt run away like adam and he freely chose to stay and help jessi when everything and everyone told him she was trouble, he believed in her and chose to see the good in her that kinda faith is a very good base for a strong and lasting romantic or friendly relationship!
i'm watching kyle right now , i'm at season 3 now the electric kiss episode ! jessi is like self-evident destined soulmate but then amanda is the one he chose to love free-will yada yada...i can see both working but kyle can't split himself in two!
