Where does this film rank on your all-time list?
Just curious. I'm sure for many people it doesn't even register, but on my "list" I'd say this is easily a top 10, perhaps even a top five.

shareIt's without hesitation in my top 20 for the most visually stunning films ever made, but I would say it lies closer to the bottom of the top 50 for all time, though I would still give it a 4/4, because I feel that some sections of the film really shine far brighter than others, like the creation of the universe scene might be one of the most gorgeous scenes ever created, up there with the closing minutes of 2001.
Best movie ever made!
I was in awe of the film's imagery and the whole thing was very impressive. I gave it an 8/10, and it'd probably be in my top 75.
shareYeh definitely ranks number 1 for me......number 1 on my worst films of all time list. Awful.
shareIt's refreshing to see that I am not alone! I rank this movie the single worst POS I have ever seen. I literally forced myself to watch it to the end just to see if there really was a point to this film.
I found it the most self-indulgent, pretentious load of sh*te used to illustrate a very feeble, almost non-existent story. The WHOLE story should have been no more than about a thirty-minute episode of a very mediocre TV soap. Most of the rest appeared to consist of shots that anyone could've found on the Internet.
This film reminded me of an art gallery with a gigantic canvas painted completely white with a little splotch of red paint in the middle. In front of it, the crowd of critics, the wannabe intelligentsia, and the sycophant media types are standing oooohing and aaaahing while the so-called artiste laughs at them all the way to the bank.
Doesn't even make it in to top 100. Awful, awful movie.
And fact of the matter is that I actually like movies like this. This particular one however, I definately did not get!!
For me this movie is right near the bottom, but then I would need to consider it an actual movie. My wife and I were so bored to tears that we actually walked out of the theatre on this one. I usually enjoy slow movies and artsy movies, but I need to be engaged. Whatever you guys see in this, I don't get. To each his own, it would seem.
shareNumber 1. I've seen it 8 times now, and I'd be willing to watch any time. The only movie I can think of that has a massive scope and yet that can be felt on the most intimate levels imaginable. As someone said earlier on this thread, each frame moves me to tears, it is the greatest work of art I have ever seen. These words describe my feelings towards the film perfectly. My favorite movie of all time, by far.
