Who is on your Mount 'RAP'-More.??? WHO ARE THE TOP FOUR RAPPERS??

If you could build your own Mount Rushmore of Rap, who would you put on it? Top four Rappers of all time--

1. Tupac >>> He was a poet, who made rapping meaningful, and life changing
2. Rakim >>> He changed everything about the rap world period.
3. Biggie >>> His flow was incredible, and his impact was impeccable
4. Easy-E >>> His M.C skills revolutionized the Rap Industry

I went with most influential for my top 4... I could have gone with most popular, but then I would have had to put up Eminem, seeing as though behind Tupac, he has sold the most rap albums ever. I elected to keep him off, even though he is great-- hes just not good enough to share a mountain with any of those four.

Honorable mentions-- KRS- One, Nas, and Jay-Z in his prime.

P.S I don't see anything wrong with the movie Notorious, I thought it was an enjoyable tribute to B.I.G. It might not have been a cinematic masterpiece, or one hundred percent accurate, but it made a *beep* appreciate everything he has done for the Hip-Hop industry.

Biggie was good for an album or two, he wasn't as God-like a rapper as people made him out to be (as proved by commercial trash he was making before he died.) He would never make the cut for a hip-hop Mt. Rushmore hah. They made a movie about him because they knew it would be a blockbuster, not because he necessarily deserved one in his honor.

Not that everyone's replies aren't in some way respectable, I find it hard to call myself a hip hop fan and entirely exclude the underground scene. While I do consider Biggie and Pac to be great founding fathers of the art, it has since evolved far out of the spectrum of their abilities. I also noticed that "most" peoples top four were also at one point or another a top forty in pop culture. Kinda proves to me why very few here even mentioned an underground rapper. While I could list dozens of rappers, mc's, lyricists, or what have you that are better the 99% of the mainstream, I'll just post my favorites as of right now ( in no particular order).

all seem to be kinda conscious rappers. in terms of originality that's fine i guess, but rap is sometimes about just saying how big your chain is and how many chicken-heads you've gotten with. y'know? conscious rap gets mad boring and i wouldn't include anyone there on this particular mountain.

Well snoop has got to be in the top four becuase doggystyle is just too sick

Well Personally my top 4 favorite rappers are.

1.Eminem (One of the best lyricist in the game who has great flow)
2.Nas (Very close to em, also a great lyricist)
3.Jay-Z
4.Ice Cube

These are personally my favorites. Though Biggie is number 5, and then Tupac number 6.
