Who is on your Mount 'RAP'-More.??? WHO ARE THE TOP FOUR RAPPERS??

If you could build your own Mount Rushmore of Rap, who would you put on it? Top four Rappers of all time--

1. Tupac >>> He was a poet, who made rapping meaningful, and life changing
2. Rakim >>> He changed everything about the rap world period.
3. Biggie >>> His flow was incredible, and his impact was impeccable
4. Easy-E >>> His M.C skills revolutionized the Rap Industry

I went with most influential for my top 4... I could have gone with most popular, but then I would have had to put up Eminem, seeing as though behind Tupac, he has sold the most rap albums ever. I elected to keep him off, even though he is great-- hes just not good enough to share a mountain with any of those four.

Honorable mentions-- KRS- One, Nas, and Jay-Z in his prime.

P.S I don't see anything wrong with the movie Notorious, I thought it was an enjoyable tribute to B.I.G. It might not have been a cinematic masterpiece, or one hundred percent accurate, but it made a *beep* appreciate everything he has done for the Hip-Hop industry.

People bring up a good point:

Whether the Mount "Rap"-More should be their favorite artists, the most influential or the "founding fathers" of the rap industry.

I personally picked the most influential artists. I think that those four revolutionized the rap world. But on the other hand, there have been many other very influential rappers who have not been named, or I just couldn't find room for them on the mountain.

That being said, I find the constant mention of 50 cent almost laughable. Yes, he does have talent, but he really hasn't done much to improve or even help the rap world. He lives in the mainstream, and continues to help the pop-rap culture grow. I personally think that his music is dec. but nothing that changes my life.

Jay Z was never that great.. he's the only one that just stuck around.. If DMX would have focused more on the Music than Making crappy movies and getting locked up then he would be married to a chick like Beyonce and be all up in the magazines etc..

For Hip Hop:

KRS-One- His style was ridiculously influential, and he broadened the range of topics rappers talked about. He is the epitome of an MC, and probably the greatest ever

Dr. Dre- Everything he touched turned to gold, and everything he abandoned soon fell apart. "Who you think brought you the O.D.s, Eazy E's, Ice Cube's and D.O.C.'s? The Snoop D-O-Double G's, and the group that said ********* the Po-lice?"

Kool Herc- He pretty much invented hip hop

Doug E. Fresh- Maybe the greatest beatboxer ever

For Just Rap:

2pac- He sold more records than anyone without selling out. Plus, he was a rapper who you could explain in artistic terms; he proved that rap is an artform.

Eminem- He brought in a whole new crop of listeners to rap, plus his lyricism is some of the best of this era of rap.

Biggie- He was a phenomenon. He talked about stuff that a lot of other rappers talked about, but he did it better than all of them. He's the perfect representative of the gangsta rap subgenre.

Rakim- The most influential lyricist maybe in the history of rap. He has to be on there, because everyone who came after him (almost anyway) was influenced by him in some way.

Honorable Mentions: KRS-One, Common, Andre 3000, Ice Cube

At least that's what I think...
