Crank or Shoot 'em up

both got 7.1/10 on IMDB

So to those who have seen both, whats better i have posted this on both films pages to make sure its not just a one sided affair!

i personally liked crank more, it was equally cheesey and at times a little bit worse, but there were more moments i laughed at and it had less or possibly no horrible one liners.

crank had a better storyline opportunity that was not executed as well as it could have been. both films used some interesting camera work but crank to me wins on the editing, the snip shots and general weirdness

shoot em up was a very artsy and almost gun version of a oriental martial arts film with all the over the top kicks and punches. but had a incrediblly stupid (though i guess more original) story again poorly executed and too many rubbish jokes.

for me... Crack wins 6/10
shoot em up 4/10

I would say Shoot 'em Up since it was more realistic, hahaha

Both movies had their great moments and featured great actors, but I would have to say Shoot Em Up. Hard choice, but the main reason was probably because it had better one liners and outrageous action scenes.

Crank 7/10

I gave Shoot 'Em Up a 7 and Crank a 1.

It's funny because I watched them both last night. They are both ridiculously manly movies. I also watched Die Hard. My god, I don't think I've watched that many good action flicks in one night! I don't know which is better, they are both fantastic.

Crank gets an 8, and so does shoot em up.

Incidentally Die hard gets a 10.

I would have to say Shoot Em Up was much better because it funny, outrageous, and it was something fresh to action films IMO. Shoot Em Up kept me entertained, unlike Crank, which made me want to walk out of the theater, but I was with a group of friends at the time. On the positive side, Crank had Jason Statham.

Crank, it's actually funny and entertaining. Shoot 'Em Up is just stupid and non-realistic. I know it's suppose to be like that, I just don't think it works very well. It's actually quite boring. Also, Statham kicks ass, Clive Owen does not (though he is a good actor).

I did not like Crank. It had too many "aww come on" moments. Shoot'em Up delivered on all levels for this type of action flick. The criminal delivering justice to the criminals was hilarious. I wish more people treated bad drivers that way.

Shoot Em' Up is good, but as others mentioned Crank is just non-stop crazy throughout the whole thing. That's just the way I want it when it comes to these kind of movies.

Statham's the man, but the Crank series is crap. Shoot 'Em Up by leaps & bounds.
