shareShe doesn't need the bracelets to stop the bullets, she just uses them because it looks cooler. So it's just a preference. She is slightly less powerful than Superman. However, if they had to fight, she could even win because she is a bit more resourceful and wiser.
shareActually, I disagree. In most comic book physics, super strength does not imply invulnerability, though it does imply toughness. I haven't read comics regularly in two decades. (the monetary outlay was getting too large). However, from what I remember, Wonder Woman can be injured, whereas Superman and Supergirl cannot (at least not by most mundane weapons.) So, she does need the bracelets to avoid being injured by bullets.
